One of the Lies.

If only I lived free,
Among the land meant to be;
As exciting as they showed me,
When I was young on the tv.
I had my eyes upon the flag,
I never knew it would be this bad;
If I could go back in the past,
I'd tell myself to be more mad.

I had glasses over my eyes,
Filled with roses, filled with lies;
They said I'd do just fine,
Until I had my last class, most of left to die.
If I could save them all I would,
You keep voting, looks like you should.
That was sarcasm, on a platter;
Since all you do is watch in laughter.

Did you know you won't even know it,
Until your face is covered and mowed in?
Do you know the meaning of life?
Have you seen the light drain from someone's eyes?
How could you pin your own emotions,
Upon everyone else because you're swollen?
How could you walk the streets and not know it?
How could you act like you aren't shown it?
Our streets are truly broken.
Don't act like your kin won't go and blow it.
All your money won't save forever.
You're in a fever dream, and I'm just your chapter.
