Involuntarily, my eyes happened to examine the unknown man. His raven hair was sleek and side-swept gel. His pumping lips sat proudly beneath his moderately pointed nose. His high cheek that every woman would envy and his sharp jaw looked sharper than a knife. He was dressed in a well tailored navy blue suit with no time and a few top buttons undone to give a clear view of his skeleton tattoo. It was creepy to be honest.
My eyes travel back to his gorgeous eyes. Honestly, I could get lost in them and have no complaints if I'm never found. I can't describe how handsome this man is. I was captivated by his beauty and even found myself swooning over him.
On the other hand, something mysterious and dark lurked in his eyes, which scared me, to be honest. His presence alone was overwhelming and nerve-racking. This man possessed dominance and it was enough of a red flag for me to encourage myself to keep as much distance as I could from this captivating stranger.
He was still quiet with an expression unreadable as he continued to stare at me, taking his moments to survey my half-naked form.
Wait... what half naked.
My eyes opened in awareness. My upper body was almost bare, only covered with a bra. The next time I knew the room rang with a thunderous shriek.
"Stop shouting," he said with a tone of pretense.
Only then did I realize it was me who was shouting. Even with consciousness, I kept screaming to the maximum.
"I SAID STOP YELLING," His voice resounded, shutting me up.
Scared and humiliated, I stumbled back until I was glued against the wall. I pulled the top now covering my body completely.
"Who are you?" His thick accent made me shiver.
He queried with a quirk of the brow when I didn't respond.
"I-I," I tried to speak, but no words were out.
When I saw him advancing towards me, the only thought that was in my head was. Some just kill me. He seemed like a predator ready to hunt. I almost flinched when he stood right in front of me. Trust me when I say this hill of a man looked way intimidating close up.
His hand reaches out, seemingly intent on touching me, but before the pads of his fingers touch my skin, I push his hand away. His expression was immediately obscured by my rejection.
A new appearance was made before he could even react and, to my relief, it was none other than Sophia. I may sound ungrateful saying this, but I have never felt so happy seeing him.
"I heard someone yelling" Came the first time out of her lips.
A confused look crossed as she noticed the scary beauty.
"What are you doing here, Leo?" Leo? So his name is Leo.
She looked back and forth between us when Leo made no attempt to explain anything. In fact, he suddenly seemed bored. "-and what is happening here?"
"No-nothing," I forced out.
She didn't seem convinced, but regardless, nodded before drawing her attention back to Leo.
"You didn't tell me you were coming."
Now it was my turn to look back and forth between them, wondering what relationship they had. Are they dating? But this man seemed a bit older than the boys Sofia usually messes with, as she likes to call it.
Leo raised his brows at her " I cal-" His words were cut off by Sofia.
"You know what to forget it,"
"By the way, meet my friend Grace. Grace, this is Leonardo, my brother." She introduced us enthusiastically and eagerly.
Now that Sofia introduces Leo. I can actually notice the striking resemblance now. Same hair, eyes, nose. In fact, it would be wrong to call Sofia a female version of Leo.
I put on a smile, of course, forced one. He doesn't return though. Rude
"Let go, dinner is ready", she said to ease the tension. I couldn't be more grateful.
***************
There were dishes which I had never seen in my entire 19 years. Despite my lack of knowledge about the dishes. I can't deny that everything looked appetizing, drenched with a delicious aroma.
"Sit," Sofia said, pulling out a chair for me.
I sent her a smile of appreciation before dropping myself on the open chair. Leo made himself comfortable on the chair right across me. Sofia occupied the seat next to me and began filling my plate with dishes. I thanked her and, without waiting, I dug into the food.
It took everything inside me not to moan in delight. The food tasted as divine as it smells or maybe it is my hunger that's making the food taste better.
On the other hand, I could feel someone's. Being specific, Leo's unwavering stares were making me feel extremely uneasy and shy at the same time. I felt blood rush through my cheeks.
Didn't anyone teach him that staring is rude?
Even though I wanted to scold him, I couldn't ignore the discomfort that pricked my skin. I continued devouring my food acting oblivious to his uncomfortable gaze.
"You're done?" I didn't realize Sofia was done with her food and was waiting for me to finish my food.
"Yes,"
"Let's go. We still have a project to work on", she says.
I wordlessly nodded in agreement before following her as she guided me upstairs towards her room. I could feel his stares even at the time, but of course, I ignored it and kept trailing behind Sofia like a lost puppy.
"Why don't you start working? I will freshen up and join you shortly," She suggested as soon as we entered her room.
"Okay " I replied, agreeing with her. She gave me a small smile which I returned happily.
She then disappeared inside the bathroom, leaving me alone. I looked around the room, taking in the interior.
The king-sized bed is pushed up against the wall opposite a door with a matching nightstand. Marble stone walls where a huge TV was installed. The walls were painted purple with matching curtains and a rug under the bed. The floor was covered with wood.
A sliding aluminum door on the left side of the bed led to a spacious balcony. To the left were two doors. The left led to the bathroom, where Sophia entered, and the right, I'm sure, led to the dressing room, and right at the door was a dressing table full of cosmetics.
For someone as wealthy as Sophia, her room was surprisingly ordinary. Obviously, the furniture cost a fortune, but the room didn't have the usual rich ambiance that you get in most rich people's homes.
Shaking my head, I took out my laptop and started working on the assignment. Sofia joined me twenty minutes later. For the next four hours, we were both busy with the task. Surprisingly, Sofia was focused on her work, which I did not expect from her. Most of the time, she continues to play with her phone rather than doing a project.
"I think I should leave now. It's getting late." I said as it was getting late.
