I kicked my heels off as we entered the hotel room. Haleigh babbled loudly to Travis who was trailing behind me. Tonight had been long and eventful. From radio interviews to photoshoots, then finally the big runway show. Of course Harleigh stole the show with a few smiles and coos to the people around us. Travis and I were still half way talking to each other. He made several efforts to be affectionate and try to hold my hand or something but, I just wasn't in the mood. I sat on the edge of the bed and sighed heavily when I watched Travis grab a beer with his free arm while Harleigh laid in the other. I stood to my tired feet and grabbed my baby and held her close to me. She grew quiet and just looked around, sensing the tension rise in the room. Travis and his drinking was becoming so reckless. Through the past week, he's been drinking more and more. I love him, but this is just tearing our relationship apart. I want to help him but whenever I get too close, or even bring up a therapist, he blows up on me.
I decided to keep quiet and just get myself and Harleigh ready for bed. I gave her a quick bath and dressed her in a little pink onesie with matching socks. After a small bottle, she was out like a light. It was around 12:30 before I had gotten myself ready for bed. I was placing my hair up into a big bun right as Travis grabbed what looked to be his 7th beer. This was completely getting out of hand. I slowly approached the chair he was sitting in and picked up the empty bottles and placed them in the trash. Right as he lifted the beer he was drinking to his lips, I grabbed it and sat it away from him. His eyes immediately turned a darker color, and he stood to his feet, towering over me. He backed me up into the wall and had a tight grip on my arms.
"What the fuck did I tell you about doing that bullshit!?" He yelled in my face.
"Travis you're hurting me.." I bit my lip, fighting back the tears. "I don't like seeing you drink like this, please just stop."
"I do what the fuck I want Savannah!" He tightened his grip. "I'm so sick of you acting like you run me or something!"
"I just care about you!" I shouted.
"Well don't!" He snatched me off of the wall and pushed me towards the bed.
I stumbled some but finally caught my balance. He stormed to the bathroom and slammed the door, locking it. At that point, I couldn't do anything but cry. Two large purple bruises were starting to form on my arms and they both hurt like hell. I couldn't be here with him, and I definitely wasn't gonna stay here with my baby. I quickly slipped a sweatshirt over my head and pulled on a pair of sweatpants. I gently lifted Harleigh into my arms and grabbed my phone. I sent Regina a quick text saying to unlock the door and that I would be over in 10. I exited the hotel doors and was immediately met with bright flashes. I huffed in frustration and pushed my way through to the car. Security demanded for them to move away from the car while I tried to get Harleigh buckled in. I gave them the "ok" and the driver started towards the house.
When the car pulled into the driveway, the lights were on and Regina stood in her porch waiting for us. She came over and helped me get Harleigh out and then we went inside. She already had a warm cup of coffee waiting on the counter for me. I settled myself into one of the bar stools and sipped the warm coffee. She cuddled Harleigh in her arms and softly kissed her, then looked up at me waiting for me to explain what happened.
"He's drinking more and more." I sighed, running my fingers through my hair. "He pushed me tonight. I know he was drunk and probably didn't mean it but-."
