6- Is He Dead?

Sounds of horse hooves hitting the ground echoed inside this barren and patchy forest.

It was not the dark forest nor any dangerous areas. It was just the boundary between the Roan Kingdom's eastern dukedom and a viscounty. The place where Raphael's transportation company's branch is located.

It's been ten days since they had been traveling in carriage. And Cale had already come to a conclusion that this man here with him is indeed just a kind person with a scary(scarily handsome ° ͜ʖ ͡ – ✧) face.

"Here. Drink some water." Raphael said as he handed over a sac of water.

"Mm....When are we going to reach?"

"Probably a few more hours and we will be near the teleportation area." Cale didn't say anything more and just sipped water.

They travelled for a few more minutes before the carriage shook and stopped, suddenly.

Alarmed, Raphael immediately got out but not before instructing Cale to stay inside and arm himself.

"What's happening?" Raphael was not pleased with the smell of blood that came out of nowhere.

"Boss, there's a man on the middle of the road.....he's severely injured."

"Oh.. " Obviously this was not what he expected....

"Mister?" A little head peeked out of the carriage window, looking between Raphael and the man who came to inform him, Wayne. "What happened?"

Raphael just pushed back the tiny head inside with one palm, while saying, "Nothing much, just a person."

"Dead or alive?"

Raphael:.....

"... Alive, but the former situation is not far away, if he doesn't get treatment."

"Oh! Then are you going to bring him with us?" "...... *sigh*"

It was a bit problematic to teleport from one continent to another with a child and an unconscious man, but Raphael was lucky. It was his teleportation company, after all.

In Leeb'An, they were greeted by Lavinio in front of the inn.

"Boss, you're back..... " Lavinio's eyes immediately locked onto the little black-headed child behind his employer and friend.

Raphael gave him a deadpanned look. "No. He is not my child. I just found him."

As soon as they reached a room on the top floor, Wayne and another person, named Rufo, a cute looking person, who is also the chef in this inn, carried in the unconscious man and laid him down on the bed.

While Lavinio went out to call the resident healer, without asking any question.

"Go take a bath in the other room, Rufo will take you to have lunch after you're done. Alright?" Raphael said to Cale, taking him out of the room, and into another one at the end of the corridor.

"The room beside you is mine, call for me, whenever you need something. Ok?"

Cale nodded and went into the room.

Raphael returned to the room, where the unconscious man is kept and saw an old lady and Glenn beside the man.

Glenn nodded upon seeing him, while the old lady didn't even notice and only checked for any internal injuries on the man. As Wayne had already poured a few healing potions on the external injuries, it were not so obvious nor were in any need of attention.
