Far away from the rocky shore, Starscream stayed close to Slipstream. Her purple and red plating were brighter in the sun and her violet optics shined with curiosity. “I’ve never seen a planet as beautiful as this.” She said as she got close to a bird nest with some eggs in it. “This place is incredible!”
Starscream smiled at her, they haven’t seen their sister this happy in a long time. Slipstream then looked on as a small bug flew by her, her optics focused on the little thing. “I guess it can be beautiful.” Starscream said, heaving the Half-spark back up into their arms. Primus this thing was heavy, they didn’t realize this when running away from Payload.
“What do you mean by ‘I guess’?!” Slipstream looked at them, surprised. “It is beautiful!” She gestured around herself. “You said you’ve been here for years but never took in its sights and creatures?”
“Slip, I didn’t have time to do that…” Starscream sighed.
“Well, I think your mate would have made you look.” She continued through the woods. “You had said that he loved flying through the cliffs and mountains near Vos and absolutely loved flying in that sky.”
Starscream slowly followed their twin, the larger seeker was correct. Skywarp loved every moment off the ground, looking at every sunset and sunrise back at Vos. They couldn’t forget how bright his light green optics got when in the sky.
At that moment, they felt the Half-spark starting to shake and trying to get out of their grasp. They held on it as it floated up lifting them up with ease. “Slipstream!” They yelped once their feet left the ground. She turned to them, then rushed towards them. The thing was starting to glow like it did in the water.
Slipstream grabbed her sibling, and held them as a bright blue light flashed above it as a being was building above it. Another one then appeared next to the first one, colors splashing over them. The light went out as the two beings fell to the ground, unconscious. One was a dark blue with weird light blue markings on his wings and face. The other was black and purple, also with light blue markings.
Starscream and Slipstream looked at them. The two knew who these two were. Slipstream dropped her sibling and stepped towards the dark blue seeker who had begun to wake. “Thundercracker?” She asked softly, kealing down to put a gentle hand on him.
“S-Slip-Slipstream?” He muttered, slowly looking up at her. His head panales were dangling down then quickly went up. “Sister?” He slowly smiled as tears were whelping up in his optics, they were gold in color.
“Our dear little brother.” She then picked him up and hugged him tightly. Thundercracker just nuzzled into his sister’s shoulder, hugging her as tightly as she was.
The other got up slowly as he looked around, then stopped at Starscream. The familiar green optics lit up. “Star-boy?” He asked as his old mate ran towards him and hugged him tightly.
“I missed you so much, Warpy!” They yelled, golden tears of happiness already running. As quickly they had hugged Skywarp, they were roughly pushed off to the ground. “What the fuck!?” Starscream then got up, quickly anger rising but it stopped once they saw the look in his optics.
There was panic and fear in them, like he had seen a swarm of scraplets. His light blue markings had turned dark. “No…” Skywarp whispered, his arms shaking, his wings were retracted.
“Warpy?” Starscream asked, getting up. “What’s wrong? Did I do something wrong?”
Thundercracker was put down then went towards them. “I think it’s best to not yell or touch him for now.” He said, leading Starscream away. “Slipstream, could you keep an eye on him?”
“Of course.” She said as her brother and sibling disappeared behind some trees. Her gaze went back to Skywarp who by now was sitting on the ground. “Are you alright?”
Skywarps ear panels flicked. “I-I-I don’t know…. I don’t know why I did that….” He slowly looked to where his mate went.
“Can you tell me what triggered that reaction?” Slipstream asked, sitting next to him. He drew back a bit.
“I don’t know. All I know is that when they hugged me it felt like I was suffocating and I felt my wings tingling. It didn’t feel right.”
Slipstream hummed at that. “That is very weird. Maybe the inhabitants of this planet could help?” She said, looking at the same bird nest but this time a creature was sitting in it. “Hello, could you help us with something?” The bird took off quickly at the sound of her voice.
“I don’t think that one could help…” Skywarp looked at her, chuckling a bit. She looked at him as the light blue ring around his green optics was darker.
There was a snap as the two looked to see Starscream and Thundercracker running. Slipstream got up as Skywarp followed suit slowly. “What-?”
“Run!” Starscream yelled, scooping up the Half-Spark. Thundercracker was right behind them, as three dark green figures were behind the two.
Skywarp and Slipstream took off into the air as Thundercracker followed them. Starscream wings outstretched and they tried to take off, getting off the ground only a few centimeters but stumble back into a run. They forgot their wing had a hole in it. “Fuck!” They hissed.
“Starscream what are you doing?!” Slipstream yelled, looking back at them through the trees.
“I’m grounded! I can’t fly!” Starscream yelled back. “My wing is broken!” They felt something wrapped around their legs as they got tangled up in it and fell down. Dropping the Half-Spark in front of them. The rope around their legs started to pull them back. They started to dig their claws into the ground, slowing them down a little.
Slipstream quickly landed and stood defensively over her sibling. The rope was broken by her claws. She was growling, her plating and wings poofed up in a display of making herself bigger than she was already. The three attackers stopped in their tracks and slowly started to spread out to circle her.
Starscream reached out to the Half-Spark, they could barely reach it. Black and purple hands then quickly grabbed it, holding it close. They looked up at Skywarp, relief filled them quickly. Skywarp still seems to be on edge, his side panels still flatten. Thundercracker was behind him. His plating poofed out as well, slightly growling.
“Go.” Starscream whispered, looking back at their sister, who was still growling and screeching at the attackers. “You need to keep that safe.” They looked back at the Half-Spark.
“We’re not leaving you here.” Thundercracker hissed, stepping towards them.
“GO!” Slipstream yelled, looked at them from the corner of her optic.
One of the attackers then went after Skywarp. He yelped out flying into the air as Thundercracker followed him then looked back down to see Slipstream throwing the one that had attacked them. Starscream was now growling, their plating poofed out.
“GET OUT OF HERE NOW!” Starscream shouted at them which made Skywarp flinch. A net was then thrown over the two, electrocuting them once it was tied down. Both went limp as the other two seekers quickly transformed and flew off, Thundercracker leading the way.
After the two left, one of the attackers spoke into a com. “We captured Starscream and a new addition but two others got away with the Half-Spark.”
There was a growl from the other end. “Find them and bring the thing before it revives anyone else!” Acid's voice snapped from it. “Payload, you're now in charge of finding the Witwicky offspring. Bring her and anyone else with her to me alive.” The com was then shut off without a response.
