From when she first experienced Phantom Manor at Disneyland Paris, Marinette knew her dream one day would be to create her very own haunted mansion. Though this wasn't a mansion, it was the atrium of their school, she couldn't help but feel proud of her accomplishment, and for once she had to tip her hat to Chloé who'd gone above and beyond to help put the vision to life. It seemed the two shared an overwhelming love for the classic Disney ride.
Chloé was scurrying around, dressed as the most perfect 'ghost host'. Okay, maybe she wasn't a ghost, but she was a very believable bwitch complete with a stuffed black cat and broomstick — the cat bearing a strange resemblance to her partner in anticrime. As she approached Marinette, her eyebrow raised in curiosity.
"And who are you supposed to be?"
Sabrina, dressed as Wednesday Addams, hurried to her friend's side, Chloé's bedazzled yellow and gold clipboard in hand as she ticked off a couple of items on the list.
"Oh, I'm Shadybug, a Ladybug from an alternate universe."
Chloé gave her a glance over again, before pouting her lips. "It suits you."
Marinette gave a small smile before looking around the atrium. They had thirty minutes before the party was due to begin, which meant everyone should be here and ready at their posts — a check she needed to do.
"Thank you for your help, Chloé, you've done an amazing job," Marinette said, and for the first time ever a compliment came out easily to the bwitch.
"Well, I wasn't going to attend something you poorly put together, Dupain-Cheng. I have style, I may as well use it."
Without another word, the bwitch turned around and walked Sabrina over to the 'Apple Bobbing' stand with a snap of her fingers.
"You've done great, Girl! I'm so proud of you." Alya appeared behind her, her hands placed on Marinette's shoulders and spinning her around to face her.
"Thanks!" Marinette said proudly, looking up and around at the decorations. "Some of the praise needs to go to Chloé too."
"Maybe, she did do something right for a change, I suppose!" Alya chuckled. "And you look amazing!"
After the dye had set and Marinette was happy it was all in the right places, Alya had left to get herself changed at home, leaving Marinette the job of finishing her look — hair in bun and face painted complete with broken capillaries.
Suddenly, their group of two expanded in numbers, each fawning over the others costumes as they welcomed each other into their venue of 'eternal destiny'. Each stopped, silence surrounding them as they took in her costume. Suddenly, in perfect coordination, all broke into excited chatter.
They each looked amazing, from Rose's Annabelle doll costume, to Juleka's replica of the girl from 'The Ring' .
"You look like you've had a cataclysm to the face!" Alix said, pulling the puffy sleeves of her axe murdering bride costume — Kim sporting the matching axe in his head.
"Like it?" Marinette giggled twirling around in a circle. Alix's reaction took her off guard as the girl burst out laughing.
"Oh, yes! I'm definitely going to like this !"
The bride walked away, a witch's cackle passing her lips. She tilted her head in confusion, unsure what to make of Alix's reaction.
"Looking good." The sound of a soft, melodic voice broke through her glare at Alix, Luka appearing with his arms crossed and eyebrows creased. "Though, it's amazing how close to the real deal you actually look."
