Cyra and Lyra walked into their classroom, their minds still heavy with worry for their father who was in the hospital. The teacher started the lesson, but their thoughts kept drifting away.

Suddenly, the teacher called out, "Cyra, can you answer this question please?"

Cyra's head snapped up, her heart racing as she tried to focus on the lesson. She took a deep breath and answered the question with ease, surprising both herself and the teacher.

The teacher smiled, "Very good, Cyra. You seem to be paying attention today."

Lyra, who was sitting next to her sister, felt a surge of pride for her sister. She knew how hard it was for Cyra to concentrate, especially with their father in the hospital.

As the lesson continued, Lyra's turn came. The teacher asked, "Lyra, can you explain this concept to the class?"

Lyra nodded, feeling confident. She explained the concept with ease, her words flowing smoothly.

The teacher was impressed, "Excellent, Lyra. You really understand this concept well."

Cyra smiled at her sister, feeling grateful for her support. "You did great, Lyra," she whispered.

Lyra smiled back, "So did you, Cyra. We make a great team."

Their classmates looked at them with admiration, impressed by their knowledge and teamwork. They whispered among themselves, "Wow, Cyra and Lyra are so smart. They always know the answers."

Cyra and Lyra felt proud of themselves, but they also knew that their success was not just because of their intelligence. It was also because of their determination to stay focused and strong, despite their worries for their father.

As they walked home from school, Cyra said, "We did really well in class today, Lyra. I'm proud of us."

Lyra nodded, "Me too, Cyra. We're doing our best for Dad."

Cyra smiled, "Yeah, we are. And we'll keep doing our best for him and for Mom too."

Lyra hugged her sister, feeling grateful for her support. "I'm glad we have each other, Cyra. We can get through this together."

Cyra hugged her back, "Me too, Lyra. We're a great team."

During break time, Cyra and Lyra headed to the school canteen to grab a snack. As they sat down at a table, Cyra tried to speak Spanish to Lyra.

"¿Cómo estás, hermana?" Cyra said, trying to ask how her sister was doing.

Lyra looked at her with confusion, "What? I don't understand you, Cyra."

Cyra laughed, "I'm trying to speak Spanish to you, Lyra. Don't you remember the lessons we took last summer?"

Lyra shook her head, "Sorry, Cyra. I didn't really pay attention during those lessons."

Cyra chuckled, "That's okay, Lyra. It's not like we need to speak Spanish anyway."

They both laughed, enjoying the light-hearted moment of sibling humor. They continued to chat and eat their snacks, enjoying the break from their studies.

As they finished their snacks, Cyra said, "Hey, do you want to go to the library after school? I need to work on my history project."

Lyra nodded, "Sure, I'll come with you. Maybe I can find a book to read too."

Cyra smiled, feeling grateful for her sister's company. "Thanks, Lyra. You're the best."

Lyra grinned, "I know, Cyra. I'm the best sister you could ever have."

They both laughed, feeling grateful for the bond they shared as sisters. As they headed back to class, they knew that they could always count on each other for support and laughter.

...

When the bell rang at 3 pm, Lyra immediately grabbed Cyra's hand and they headed to the library. As they entered, they humbly greeted the officers there.

"Good afternoon, sir. Good afternoon, ma'am," Cyra said politely.

"Good afternoon, girls. How may we assist you today?" the officer replied.

Cyra explained, "I need to work on my history project, and my sister would like to find a book to read. Is that okay?"

The officer smiled, "Of course, you are welcome to use the library for your studies and leisure. Please feel free to ask us if you need any help."

Lyra smiled, feeling grateful for the kindness of the officers. "Thank you, sir. We appreciate your help."

As they walked through the library, Lyra started browsing the shelves for a book. Meanwhile, Cyra headed to the history section to find some reference materials for her project.

After a few minutes, Lyra found a book that caught her interest. She sat down at a nearby table and started reading, getting lost in the world of the story.

Cyra, on the other hand, was deep in thought as she read through the history books. She made notes and jotted down ideas for her project, feeling inspired by the wealth of information available in the library.

As the sun began to set outside, the girls realized that it was time to head home. They thanked the officers and left the library, feeling grateful for the resources and support provided by the institution.

As they walked home, Lyra said, "That was a nice afternoon, Cyra. I enjoyed reading my book and I'm glad you found some good reference materials."

Cyra smiled, "Yeah, it was a productive day. I feel more confident about my project now."

Lyra nodded, "Me too. And it was nice to spend some time together, just the two of us."

As Cyra and Lyra were walking home, Cyra's phone suddenly rang. She looked at the caller ID and saw that it was her mother. She answered the phone, and immediately heard her mother crying on the other end.

"Cyra, Lyra, you both need to come to the hospital right away. Your father is critical," her mother said, her voice shaking with emotion.

Cyra's heart sank as she heard the news. She knew that her father had been struggling with his health for some time, but she never expected things to take such a sudden turn.

"We'll be there as soon as we can, Mom," Cyra said, trying to keep her voice steady.

Lyra looked at her sister with concern, "What's happened, Cyra?"

Cyra explained, "It's our father. He's critical and we need to go to the hospital right away."

Lyra nodded, "Okay, let's go. We need to be there for Mom and Dad."

They both rushed home to grab their things, and then headed straight to the hospital. As they arrived, they saw their mother waiting outside the emergency room, tears streaming down her face.
