∆Chapter 5: Throw me a bone!∆

I roll my eyes. "You don't even have hair and I can see your inverted bob cut."

"THAT IS IT!"

I watched as the king slithered over to a control panel. "DIE! DIE! ALL OF YOU- DIE!"

"FEAST! FEAST MY VORACIOUS QUIMPOIDS!"

Was it me or was I hearing faint barking and thumping.

"Uh..guys? What are those." Pomni pointed at the opening tent Infront of us.

I could see hundreds of oddly shaped creatures, running in our direction.

"Oh dear.." Ragatha mewled.

Of course I was already gone. I wasn't just gonna stand there and let those things get close.

Ragatha's POV

Just as I thought this adventure couldn't get anymore stressful. We were being chased by a swarm of Quimpoids.

"Jax what are you doing?" I shouted.

"Not dying."

Jax was up in a tree with his legs crossed. Watching as me and Pomni ran up a snack stand.

"Jax help us!"

"Why would I do that? I mean my schedule is already full rescuing [Name]. I don't think I'll have any time to squeeze you in."

I only stared in annoyance. Those feelings were brief as I felt the stand below us shake.

"Ah!"

The Stand was knocked from right underneath us.

"Stay close Pomni!"

I quickly grabbed Pomni and held her closely. The raging pack of Quimpoids rushed over to us. Hundreds of them barking and growling.

All of them... going around us?

"Whaat's happening?"

"Woah woah Wait- Wait-" Jax panicked.

I slowly release Pomni, turning around to face Jax.

The Quimpoids were biting and shaking at the tree he was in.

"No! No! Why aren't they attacking you!" Jax shouted climbing up the tree.

I try to recall Caine's words... before laughing.

"I know why! Caine said you're the knight in shining armor. The Quimpoids are after the main character. We aren't that, we help you optionally."

I watch as Jax's, reaction drop even more. "Hm...We don't have to do this Pomni." I've never felt more satisfied with an outcome.

"We've been through a lot of stress Pomni, let's go play something."

"You're just gonna leave me here?"

"Yes."
