HAILEY'S POV

My driver dropped me just in front of my school, Maryland College.

It's really a big school, one of the most popular in the country. I step out of the car gently carrying my school bag which is loosely hung on my back. All eyes were on me probably because I applied a little make up today.

Yup! You guessed right. I'm not really a fan of makeup, probably cos I'm cute just the way I am. Guess I was just in the mood for it today. I walked majestically to my class with most of the guys turning to catch a glimpse of me.

I wasn't wearing anything new, just my normal uniform which comprised of a blue printed skirt which was above my knee and a white shirt together with a cardigan. My school is always strict on issues concerning the dress code.

My light brown long wavy hair was packed in a pony tail, with my edges laid perfectly. I don't take my dressing lightly at all cos c'mon! This school is basically for the rich, likes of people in my calibre and we all love to look good unless you're a scholarship student of course.

"Hailey!" A brunette girl called and I waved. I'm very social even though some think I'm proud, I just love to look good besides I'm very popular. I just smile, wave and wink at some. I got to my locker and was about hanging my school bag when a pair of hands covered my eyes.

Urgghhhh Rose!!!

"Oh come on Rose, you'll ruin my makeup" I complain with a light chuckle.

"Hi come you know it's me?" she asked in her British accent as she stared at me. I can always tell it's her with those soft pair of hands.

"We're friends remember?" I asked sarcastically and she laughed.

"You look hotter today!" she squeaked in excitement.

"It's just a uniform" I say dryly.

"You sure know how to rock a uniform with those killer curves. And geez did someone makeup today!? "she added while wriggling her brows and I laughed.

"I just decided to try a makeup routine I saw on insta."

"Wow cool! You pulled it off perfectly!" She complimented and I smile widely trying to meet up with her over bubbling spirit.

"Thanks" I reply sincerely. The bell rang for the first period, I took out my notebook and pen.

"See you in maths class" I say with a smile and ran off. I literally hated being late to a class. I'm not entirely a baddie so durh!

*****
During lunch hour, I sat on my bench which was crowded as usual, all wanted to hang out with me. Obviously because they all knew how rich my dad was. Sometimes I just feel like I don't have any real friends and it hurts...alot. If I fortunately have the opportunity to change my location, I'll never tell anyone how rich I am. Just be a random sassy girl.

EVELYN'S POV

"Hailey I'm talking to you!" I screamed at her but she continued working on her phone. So infuriating!

"You shouldn't return late without leaving a text, we were all worried" I added.

"Does it seem like I care?" She asked rudely and I sigh. I'm trying so hard to control my anger but she's literally not helping.

"Y'know what? You're grounded for a week. Don't act like a bitch" I find myself yelling at her angrily but to my surprise she broke into a long annoying laugh.

"Really? Like seriously! Well y'know what too? YOU'RE NOT MY MUM! This implies you have no right to tell me what to do. You're not my mum and you'll never be" she snapped before dragging herself upstairs.
