(Y/n) Pov:

I know he is watching me. Or at least, he's sensing everything I'm doing. I groan in malice as I pace my room. Why is he doing this? Why must he monitor my every breath!  My mind feels like it is constantly getting bombarded. Loki's mental attacks have become nonstop, he wants to know who I am, where I come from. I finally blasted him out of my mind, he left a strange residue of forgotten power and I cringe. He's going to be back, I just know it. I leave my room in search for a distraction, Banner had given me the grand tour and I distinctly remember an entire floor dedicated to workout equipment.

I quietly walk down a corridor, I can't hear anyone but I remain cautious. As I walk into the training room, I feel a  resounding note of calm. There are many devices I do not know the functions of yet, but I am curious to see why they are used. I step up on large flat square in the center of the room.

"Hello, Miss (Y/n)" Jarvis says through the walls, "What level of field training would you like?" I'll never understand Jarvis, he must be a type of domestic spirit used to serve the masters of this tower, but I can't sense his presence.

I look around, "What is this exactly?"

"It is a multi-functioning synthetic battle ground simulator. Levels go from Expert, Extreme, Realistic Expert and Realistic Extreme. You may also customize your preferred training ground." Jarvis's voice is soothing. I look around the square and find a rack of weapons. I immediately sought after the melee weapons, because the technology these humans use is extremely different from what I am familiar with. I take two sheaths of katanas, strap on multiple throwing knives and pick a long slender staff.

"Give me the hardest function you got."

Banner Pov:

Hulk HATE that puny god will live! The Hulk growls into my mind. I grit my teeth in frustration, as I shift my position in my bed. I left the team a few minutes after (Y/n) last night, she looked like how I felt. Partially terrified and incredibly angry. Hulk whines and that's when I come to the realization that sleep was futile. I grumble my way out of bed and pull on my pants, and  shirt before I look into the mirror. Hulk, was always apart of me. I didn't create him, he was just my inner being come to life. He was my manifestations of what I truly wished I could do. But what he lacks is empathy, and self-control.

I leave my room and turn towards the lab. I feel most at home there, if there is any way a runaway experiment can find a home. I pass Cap and Nat who are staring intently into the training room. I peer in the glass and am shocked as I see (Y/n) expertly running the simulator.

"We're adding her to the Team..." Cap says thoughtfully. "She's strong, can be of service."

"H-how long has she been like this?" I ask to no one in particular.

"Approximately, 8 hours and 50 minutes non stop. It's 6:50 AM now." Jarvis answers.

"Incredible," I whisper, "Her stamina and agility is extraordinary!" I watch as Jarvis's simulator shoots multiple projectiles at (Y/n), she grabs her staff and deflects the darts and somersaults, landing neatly on the other side of the arena, where she cuts down a dummie.

"She's disciplined, but she doesn't know when to quit." Natasha murmured. I glance toward her, she is watching (Y/n) with a strange familiarity.

"Oh, it's not that..." All three of us whirl around and stare directly into the eyes of Loki. He puts his hands up, indicating his limiter. "It's not that she doesn't know when to stop... she's trying to prove herself."

" To us? " Steve asked. I also looked towards Loki in curiosity.

"No, she's proving herself to someone else who is obviously of higher power than the likes of you." Loki sneered at us, his eyes glittered with trickery. "Her fighting is noble, she's a trained warrior." He looks past us, toward ( Y/n). The Hulk moves me into a defensive position and Loki chuckles, "I have no intention of hurting her, Doctor Banner."

Cap looks at me and gives me the "back-off-look". Hulk growls into my conscious and I turn away. I hear Cap, and maybe Natasha following me. "We will meet with S.H.I.E.L.D before making any decisions about her joining the team." I'm only partially hearing him. He walks ahead and Nat walks beside me. She took my hand, causing me to flince for a second.

"Bruce, she'll be okay. She knows how to take care of herself." She smiles with encouragement and goes to follow Cap. Leaving me in corridor, alone and dumbfounded.

Loki Pov:

I watch for a moment as the trio of mortals walk away from me. I turn to the girl in the arena and stare. She is... I can't describe it.Her ability to cast me out of her mind like that is extraordinary. I watch as she slices through the test dummies, only to backflip over a barrage of darts.

Her eyes are lit with a fiery determination as she cut down her simulated enemies. "Lady (Y/n)." The simulator dies down, and she freezes her back to me. She sheaths the katana's but refuses to face me.

"Yes?" Her voice is light, not even exhausted but there is a bite to them that makes me wince.

I smile. "I believe we have something to speak of..."
