"Now, Kanda, let's find out who the real scum is," Freya said coldly, pressing the sword harder against his neck. "I don't want to kill you, but if you ever speak like that again, I swear I will slit your throat and let you bleed out. Why? Because I've had enough of your arrogant attitude." With that, she withdrew the sword, which dissolved back into her arm. Rising from her position, she glanced at Lenalee, giving a brief nod before leaving the scene, her expression set and resolute.

Freya headed directly to the dining hall, recalling her promise to Jerry to assist in the kitchen during dinner. Upon arriving, she hung her coat on a nearby hook and donned an apron, securing a bandana around her head to keep her hair out of the way. As she entered the bustling kitchen, the clattering of pots and the aroma of cooking food filled the air. Jerry, the head chef, noticed her entrance and approached with a wary expression. He could sense the simmering anger beneath her calm exterior, the tension palpable as she readied herself for work.

"Everything alright, Freya?"

"Yeah. Just Kanda being stupid. I almost killed him today."

"Oh... so, same old bickering." Jerry added as he made his way to serve some people. As he finished serving a group of finders, he saw Kanda entering the dining hall, a bandage around his neck. His face fell, as he really did not expect exactly to see the samurai in such a state. He looked terrified at the redhead. "You really were not joking when you said 'almost killed him today'."

"He's here already?" she asked as she poured a bowl of soba and handed it to Jerry. "He can go fuck himself for all I care."

"Freya! You can't talk like this about your fellow comrades!" Jerry shouted, his voice heard in the whole hall, followed by a wave of silence. He turned to serve other people only to be met by Kanda. "Here you go, Kanda. Enjoy your meal!" he said after a few seconds of shock. After the dark haired man left, he turned back to Freya. "Okay! You're done for today. I can take it from here! Go rest, relax or do something else. I don't need you in this state in my kitchen!" He said as he ushers her out, Freya pretty much confused. "But before you go, eat your dinner." he added as he placed a tray of food in her hands.

Freya found herself wandering the hall, puzzled by Jerry's decision to send her out of the kitchen. She headed toward a table where Lenalee and a white-haired boy were seated, deliberately avoiding any glance at Kanda's table as she passed by.

"Hey, mind if I join you?" she asked with a friendly tone.

Lenalee looked up and smiled warmly. "Oh, Freya! Hi! Of course, sit with us!"

"I'm Freya Chesterfields. It's nice to meet you..." she trailed off, looking at the boy expectantly.

"Allen Walker," he introduced himself, looking a bit pale.

"Let me guess... you've been to see Hevlaska, right? She can be pretty intimidating," Freya said with a sympathetic smile.

Allen nodded, a hint of discomfort in his expression. "Yeah... Komui didn't really explain what to expect."

Freya chuckled lightly. "That's classic Komui. Always a bit scatterbrained. He'll never change." She glanced at her food before noticing Allen's left hand. "I see your Innocence is a parasite type, too. Mine is as well." She opened her coat slightly, revealing a large, upside-down heart on her chest. "My entire heart is made of Innocence, and all my blood carries it. It's tough being different and feeling like an outcast, but it does get better. So, welcome home." She offered him a reassuring smile, her eyes softening.
