Freedom At Last

Tears ran down my cheeks. They weren't tears of sadness. They were cheers of joy. We have finally gained control of Wall Sina. Everyone is overjoyed. The town has almost finished repairs, too.

For the first time in a long time, I wore regular clothes. Today was everyone's day off. Commander Erwin said it's good to relax once in a while. As I walked down the streets, I saw children playing and laughing. I saw fresh green grass and trees. I smiled.

A world without titans is beautiful. We have freedom at last. Even if that freedom will only last us a certain amount of time. I walked through a field where battle once took place.

The wind blew through my h/c hair. A guy caught my attention. That raven haired undercut?! It must be Levi! When he turned around, it was him. I ran and tackle-hugged him causing him to fall onto the soft grass.

"Levi!" I cried as I hugged him.

"Tch. You're heavy, brat." He muttered.

And of course, one of his famous Tch and an insult. I couldn't help but laugh though. We sat under a tree in the shade. It's such a nice day.

"I love you, Levi." I said before resting my head on his lap.

"I love you, too." He replied as he petted my head.

There's one thing everyone should understand.

This world may seem like such a cruel place, but sometimes it hides the beauty it really has.
