Authors Note: Hey my little Gremlins! This my very first Loki fanfic and I apologize for the oncoming cringe lol. Love you my Gremlins! <3

A prophecy isn't supposed to fail. A prophecy isn't supposed to cry in fear. A prophecy isn't supposed to watch as their race, their entire realm get taken over.

But I did.

Magic seared the air around me as I ran. I covered my eyes against the horrors around me, the smell of my brethrens blood engraved itself in my mind. Screams clung at the air, refusing to die as our enemies tortured and slaughtered us all. Dragonborn fell around me as the Sacred cut us down. I ran hard through a field covered in the remains of my people. Wings, tails and heads of my race became a continuous blur as their multi-colored blood coated my legs. I should have stopped this.

I ran towards my temple, my home and place of solitude. My wings opened, letting me fly the short distance up to my balcony. "Anyone! Anyone please!" I called, my tears burned my face as they came in contact with my wounds healing them. A Sacred landed behind me, its ever smiling face  looking even more horrifying. I look up in the face of absolute death. It cocks it head, raises its sword and... my mother cuts it in half with a clamor. Its smile turned into a squeal of pain and death as it opened its gaping mouth. She took her clamor and ran it through the Sacreds neck, ending its scream. I stare at the dead Sacred, then back to my mother. She tipped her head away from me and looked toward the carnage. Her azure eyes, matching the color of her scaled arms, scanning the brutality.

"Leave." She muttered, her face contorted in suffering.

"What?" I asked, stunned.

She turned to me, and I realized it wasn't suffering that shadowed her eyes... it was disappointment. "I was a fool, to put the hands of my realm into the talons of a youth." Her wings twitched slightly.

"But, Mother-..."

"Don't call me that!" Mother spat as she turned away. "I am ashamed to even think for a second that you could've ever been like one of us." I looked down at my talons, black scales gleamed up at me stopping at my elbows matching my eyes and wings. I hide them behind my back.

"I tried, Mo-... Queen Eldga. I tried, I promise."

"And you failed, (Y/n)!" The Queen, yelled. My life shook around me and I sunk to my knees closing my eyes. A metallic clatter had me opening them and I stared at the Queens bracelet, it gleamed with an ancient power and I look up. She took a few steps past me, "Take it and leave (Y/n). There is nothing left for you here."

I suddenly realize what she means, "No! Please, please! These are my people, I belong with my realm!" I scoop up the bracelet and turn towards her back. "I can't just leave my home."

The Queen stopped and tilted her head quizzically, "You never had a people, you never had a realm... you just had a prophecy. And once the dust is settled, you won't even have that." She turned to me and I stared back. We were no longer a Mother and a Daughter... we weren't even a Teacher and her Pupil... it was just a Queen and a Disgrace. Our heads snapped towards the main door which burst with Sacreds. The Queen charged at them, "Till Destiney takes my life I will fight for the Dragonborn!" I stare.

"No..." But even as I say it, I'm running away. The bracelet burns with power, making me almost wince as I put in on. Immediately strength imbued my entire being and I jump off the nearest ledge. As my wings take on the ever present wind, I soar higher. The bracelet glows and a portal opens into space. I take a deep breath, and with a quick prayer to Destiny, I plunge in head first.
             .     .     .

My mind snaps toward the present, I was disoriented and drifting in open space. The sensation of slowly being pulled towards a giant rip in the sky took all priority in my mind. I look behind me and paled. Giant beasts, accompanied with creatures on flying machines glided towards the rift. I flew closer inspecting it, I could see what looked like a thriving metropolis. Something shined away I turned my head towards it.

It flew, with a purpose as it carried a strange tube. I watch fearful for what it might do with it. It threw it towards the worms. And something inside me twisted. It's an explosive... he'll never make it out alive. A voice screeched through my mind. Whoever this was... his destiny wasn't over yet. Not now. I used my bracelet, draining it and myself as I speeded towards the red and yellow man. As metal contacted my scales, I realize it is a suit! My determination fueled my speed as plunged through the rift, surprised as I saw what lay below me. A war...

The Metal Man was safe in my clutches just as the rift exploded. It shook the sky, the blast catching me off guard. I dropped him and clutched my head, the drain of power finally catching up with me. I turn back to see the rift close in a flurry of blue light.

Then my wings failed me... and my world faded into black.

Avengers POV:

Tony plummets from the sky, his iron suit weighing him down.

"Son of a gun..." Cap breathed looking in pride.

"He's not slowing down!" Thor realized twirling his hammer. Suddenly, a roar of uncontrollable rage filled the streets as Hulk jumps and catches Tony. Hulks slides down a building and jumps into the road. With a disgusted grunt, Hulk shoves Tony off of him. Cap and Thor run over, Thor ripping the faceplate off as soon as he came close.

Tony wasn't consiencess. Thor and Cap looked down in sadness over the death of a friend, Hulk snorted and bellowed at the man. Tony started awake. "What the hell-.." Tony gasped as Hulk bellowed once again. "What just happened? Please tell me nobody kissed me!"

Cap sat back looking up at the city, "We won..."

"That we did my fellow men." Thor boomed, "In the words of-... what in the Norns!" Thor interrupted himself. A figure in strange clothing fell out the sky, Thor swung Mjolnir and caught it midair. Floating down, he inspected it. "It's a... female."

Tony yelled, "Kill it Thor! It's one of them, it tried to kill me on my way out!"

"She is mortal, Mr. Stark. And wounded... I'm taking her back to the Tower where we can deal with both her and Loki." With another swing of his hammer Thor launched away towards the remains of Stark Tower.

"Just keep that thing away from me." Tony sighed letting his head fall back. "Help me up Capsicle before I start swearing." Cap chuckled and gave tony a hand.

"A win for America." Cap cheered. Tony glared at him.
