y/n sighed as she sat down. she took her headphones off as the teacher walked into the classroom and began to set up for the class today.

it was the first day of school and the girl already wanted to leave. she was bored and longed for her bed. her eyes were red and the bags underneath them were dark. she had a restless night to say the least.

she worried over what to wear, what she should pack to eat. would she look stupid? what if she got bullied for wearing something dumb.

she wore a plain white tank top, a pair of slightly baggy blue jeans, a black jacket, and black converse. of course though, it was up to everyone around her to decide if she looked dumb, or basic, or just whatever.

a girl sat down beside her, looking more than upset. she was dressed in a my hero academia shirt and a pair of green swearpants. y/n couldn't help but cringe at the sight. the girl wasn't really pretty to begin with and with that outfit and her expression, it seemed that ashy, the schools popular girl, had already found a target to bully. it was always those she deemed 'dorkish' or 'lame' or even 'ugly' who she ended up targeting.

y/n never said a word about it though. she never stood up for those people. she didn't even give them a glance as she watched ashy terrorize them. and that was because well...

"y/n! god finally great to see a familiar face! get your ass over here and away from that fucking dork!" a girl called out to her. ashy. y/n's best friend.

the girl forced a smile as she stood up, quickly grabbing her things and walking over to the other. she sat down right next to her.

"hey! ugh..why'd that fuckin dork sit next to you? she has no business being near someone like you, what a fuckin twat." the girl mumbled.

"yah, i know right?" y/n muttered. she didn't feel good about saying that, but she didn't feel bad. its not like it mattered anyways. if anyone were to get into trouble it would be ashy, but her dad was the principal, so she could always be let off with a slap on the wrist.

as the class started, the girl began to zone out. before she knew it, it was time to go home.

"hey! me and el are gonna go rough up the freshmen, wanna join?" a voice called out to y/n. she shivered.

"oh no! i gotta get home, mom told me to make dinner tonight and i wanna start early so that i can sleep. didn't really get much last night.." y/n mumbled out to the other girl.

"ugh..your so lame! but whatever, i'll text ya later. bye babes!" the girl called out as the other started to walk off.

she was trying to distance herself from ashy, really she was. it was just kinda hard to when she was trying to stick beside her 24/7. alas though, y/n would just figure out a way around the girl.

soon, y/n was home. she had lied to ashy, if it wasn't obvious. she was coming home to watch anime. specifically, my hero academia. she hadn't watched the show in maybe three years.

"hey! what are you doing home so early? i thought you were gonna hang out with your school buddies?" a masculine voice asked. it was dad.

"oh, no, i told you im trying to distance myself from them, pops!" the girl told her father as she set down her bag.

he looked up from his computer and nodded, a long 'ahhhh' coming out of his mouth, as if it meant he understood what she meant. he looked back down at his computer and groaned.

"whats wrong?" was all the girl asked.

her dad looked up at her, waving his hand for her to come over. "alright, well i'm trying to remember what the ingredients of dr. pepper are, this stupid question is asking me what they are, arghhh...i just don't understand why this stupid quiz wants me to know this, its not like i'm gonna need to know it anyways, god, this forsaken-" y/n tuned her dad out.

her dad was trying to get his doctorates in chemical engineering at the moment. y/n was blessed with her fathers smarts and was blessed with her moms photographic memory, so she was lucky enough to be able to ace her tests with no studying. all she needed was to see the materials once and she was able to make a perfect 100 hundred. of course, burn out hit her like a truck, so she usually barely passed her tests with seventies. but ya know what they say, c's get degrees!

she finally decided to cut her dad off. "carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup, caramel color, phosphoric acid, artificial and natural flavors, sodium benzoate, and caffeine. i think thats it!" she smiled at her dad.

"thats my smart little girl! god, you know the weirdest things." her dad exclaimed as he hugged her. she smiled and nodded at him.

"i think i'm gonna head to my room now, need to do some stuff." she told her dad, quickly hugging him back before heading up the stairs and to her room.

she quickly sat down on her bed, grabbing her computer off of her bed and setting it down in her lap, sneezing as the dust flew onto her. she pulled up my hero academia and began to watch the show.

she sighed, a bit bored at the first few episodes, so she immediately skipped to the third one, the first two were just deku's boring ass set up story, like we get it you whiny bitch, your the under dog.

she continued to watch, sipping on a drink every now and then. she looked over at her wall, seeing some sort of 'thing' move across it. she almost screamed once she saw the 'thing'. it was a roach. she accidentally spilled her drink onto her computer, screaming as she watched it steam and somehow electrocute her. the burning sensation started to go away, but she was immediately met with a spinning sensation.

she felt horrible. she closed her eyes and screamed, the dizziness was so bad she felt herself starting to seize.

and just like that, she was out like a light.
