I stared at the young college man. He wrote furiously in his notebook at the coffee shop table. I moved my hair out of my face. He and I were the only two customers at this time of night. I looked at the guy at the bar as he plugged in ear phones and watched something on his tablet. It was 2:30 in the morning who would come in?
I took a drink of my coffee. It was all black with no sugar, I found I liked it this way. I shift myself so I am facing the young man so I don't have to obviously turn my head.
The young man looks up at me. He bites his lower lip. I'm wearing quite the horrible outfit. A deep V-neck shirt showing my cleavage and a pair of jean shorts.
He clears his throat. He has light blonde curly hair and brown eyes. He has pale skin and is quite skinny. He looks a little nerdy too. But he's quite cute, but not my type.
I get up and put my coffee cup in the little dish. I feel the man's eyes I watch me. I smile, looks like I'm doing this right.
I hear his chair move as I turn around to grab my things. I pull my purse over me and look over my shoulder at him. He watches me, his eyes searching over my body.
"Are you coming?" I ask seductively and wink. His eyes get big and he grabs his notebook at computer bag swiftly. He follows me outside. I grab his free hand and walk with him down the streets. The Core is luckily only 2 blocks away. I feel nervous sweat come off the man's hands.
When we reach the apartment building I turn into the alleyway.
"You live here?" The man's soft voice comes from the body of the hand I hold.
"For a while now." I smile. 4 months to be exact. I can't go home, that's what Barry is waiting for. I lead the boy through the door I have just opened and up the stairs. He gets more nervous as we walk. I hold on tightly to his hand. I bring him to the Core door in one of the apartment rooms.
"W-where are we?" The young man asks.
"You've been recruited." I smile and open the door to the Core.

"I'm screwed." I frowned at the diagrams in front of me. "I'm actually screwed."
"Screwed?" The female AI speaks to me. I look up. She started working a week ago and has been extremely helpful...except she can't help me to get a time machine together.
"A figure of speech?" I suppose Barry or Harrison wouldn't use that speech." I frowned. She had told me Barry Allen made her, which didn't surprise me.
"Oh of course, yes I do see searches of such a phrase being used in.."
"How about you search for scientists able to build time machines." I mumble under my breath.
"Of course." I turn around as a small box lights up under the desk. I pick it up and put it on the desk. I see a button flashing in the top middle of the box. I press it and a huge screen shows up making me back up.
"Gideon, what is this?" I ask.
"It's me." An 3D face comes from the box. It's like a projection of some sort. I stare up at the face in wonder.
"Wow, well um....Hello." I smile. The face disappears and a screen shows up. A young man's face shows up.
"This is Darwin Elias, a research scientist but is great help to the Flash, however in 20...."
"Stop! Spoilers!" I cut her off again. "Where can I find him in 2015?"
"He was currently in Central City in 2015, notable places are the Green Bean, a coffee shop on 8th street. Much of his earlier work was compiled in this small coffee shop." Gideon responds. I smile.
"I know exactly where that is. What is...was his age in 2015?"
"23."
I smile. This should be easy... fun.

"What is this place?" Darwin walks in slowly before me. I shut the door and make sure it is locked. The lights come on as we walk in. Most of the room is now bathed with light after Gideon had showed me how to turn them on. Apparently the room was designed to be completely lit up, like a Christmas tree.
"I call it the Core, but Wells called it a rehabilitation center, but then turned it into a place for me." I try to explain but the he just looks at me with confused eyes. I sigh. "Forget it."
"Wait..Wells? Like Harrison Wells?" He becomes feverishly excited. I do mental eye roll.
"Yes. But he's not...here right now." I swallow painfully. "However I do need you here right now."
"Me? Why Me?" Darwin asks in a higher tone.
"Because I need you to build a time machine. I need you to save my friend and I need a team." I say sternly. This makes him even more curious.
"Who are you?" He asks. I smile and go to the desk. I'm trying to cut off my dramatic ways but it seems I cannot. I click a button and from the wall in which we are closest to a door opens. A glass box comes out and inside is the mask, the suit and the sword. Darwin's mouth drops as I smile.
"I'm the X."
