Farsaya was sitting there watching him as if had suddenly changed into an alien species.
"Yes that's pretty much it," Jimin blushed reaching for his backpack.
"Iiiiiii!" Farsaya squealed covering her mouth in a hurry. "I'm sorry," he muttered towards the librarian. "This means Jungkook is your soulmate," she leaned over the table grabbing Jimin's hand.
"Guess," he blushed even more avoiding her gaze.
"And you will be together for an eternity."
There was a rapid flip in Jimin's insides he never wanted.
"No, we won't," he muttered.
"What? Why!"
"Because he had cheated on me with Taehyung in all my past lives and I can't forgive that," there were cold goosebumps all over his skin again when Farsaya opened her mouth, but no sound followed.
"So, please make up with Yoongi, if you have a good and faithful soulmate it's worth more than any treasure," Jimin got up moving out of the library, he was now awfully late for English, but he couldn't care less quickening his steps towards maths room to knock hard.
"Yes?" The teacher looked at him stunned.
"I need to talk to Sam sir, there's an emergency at home," whispered Jimin apologetically.
"If that's so, Park Samantha," the man nodded Sam's way, so she jumped up running to the door.
"What happened?" Sam closed the door when Jimin took her under the arm pulling down the corridor towards the lockers.
"I'm sorry, but I want to get all the difficult conversations behind me today," he muttered.
"Please forgive me... ok, please I need my sister back. I need you more than ever," Jimin sniffed so surprised by the tears that came when he felt the fabric of Sam's school uniform sleeve, she used to wash them off.
"Hey Jimin, don't cry. What happened?"
"Everything... Taehyung was Jungkook's antisoulmate, Jungkook has cheated on me with him in all my past lives, just not this," all the insanity that has piled up inside him since last night was suddenly exploding.
"Oh," was all Sam could press out.
"And I can't forgive him, so I will stay alone. I hope you can understand and forgive me..."
"Jimin," Sam pulled him into her arms caressing over his back softly. "I'm here for you always. I'm your sister. No matter how mad I was I couldn't ever stay angry at you, because I love you, ok."
"I love you too," he whispered hugging into her crying silently into her shoulder.
The world might have collapsed, but his family was here and that was enough to survive.
Ten months later
"How is it going?" Yoongi's smiling face was all over the phone screen when Jimin entered the reception of the penthouse where the famous studios of the dance center were located. Since graduating high school his life has gained speed as Ranty had recommended him as a choreographer for a few superstars. Now his calendar was fully booked, last night he had landed in New York to prepare another award show worth choreography.
"I'm a bit nervous," Jimin smiled taking the keys to studio 7 from the receptionist.
"You'll be fine," Yoongi gave him thumbs up.
"Who is it? Jimin?" Farsaya appeared on the screen resting her head on Yoongi's shoulder, the two were his favorite couple, now living on cloud nine, studying in Southern Italy between romantic Mediterranean sights and fascinating food.
"Keep an eye on Sam, she had texted me she had met some boy," Jimin sighed as his sister had decided to spent a term at an study abroad program in Rome.
"We will make a weekend trip and visit her, no worries," Farsaya winked.
"Keep me updated," Jimin sighed, he couldn't say he wasn't worried about that boyfriend of his little sister.
"We will," Yoongi waved when the video call ended and Jimin hid the phone entering the elevator.
The past months he was rather busy with graduation and his dancer career, everything what could keep him from thinking about Jungkook was life saving. Last night he had done something he shouldn't have, taking a taxi downtown to walk along that hotel where almost a year ago in a rooftop suite he has been brought further than stars for the very first time this lifetime. Getting sentimental wasn't an option, memorizing Jungkook was dangerous, as each day he was slowly settling with the past, a tiny bit less angry, an insane amount more longing to be in his soulmate's arms again, at least once.
Stop, he begged himself leaving the elevator to open studio 7 and get in. There was a soft vibration of his phone, so he checked the coming message, a cute photo of Namjoon and Seokjin with the cats in Seokjin's luxurious villa his soulmate had moved into.
"They're impossible," Jimin giggled sending them a few cheeky emojis.
The past months he was learning to find comfort in the happiness of his friends. Jungkook had tried to contact him many times, but he had never answered and since three months there was total silence. It was good though, easier to stuff up the wounds, hope that with time they will turn into scars.
The dancers will come in an hour, thought Jimin checking the time. He had come earlier on purpose, to be alone with the floor, the mirrors, the music and his moves. What song could he play to warm up, his fingers were quickly scrolling the playlist until one pupped up. One he hasn't listened to for ten months.
Jungkook 'Soulmate'
Why was he suddenly stuck above that track, a small line of tiny letters composing into everything he has ever wanted, had forever lost.
Definitely not that song, Jimin sighed scrolling down to move his finger up and stop hesitating to press.
What can I lose, it's just a song, the little voice at the back of his head told and he trembled touching the play arrow.
