*Aaliyah's P.O.V*
My fingers are digging into the wood of the doorframe, my tiny body using all of its strength to resist Miachel's efforts to carry me out of the door. It's a lot harder to fight against him since he's much stronger than me since I'm so small now! I didn't even want to go, I wanted to stay with Etol who was trying to protect me from them being mean.
"Come on Aaliyah, you'll be fine," Miachel says, making me try to kick him again. It's hard to do since my torso is just kind of hanging in the air but it helps that he's holding onto my legs so that I don't just fall to the floor.
"No! I refuse. I don't want to see them! I don't like them and if they find out, I know that my grandma will find out! Her and Levana talk all the time. Do you know how embarrassing it is to have her know that I am a child again?" I retort, twisting as best as I can to glare at him. I stop when I hear Zero's footsteps, turning my head just slightly to glare at her since this was her stupid idea.
"Enough Aaliyah, we're going," Zero says softly as she pries my hands off the doorframe. I hiss at her, trying to bite her arm but just barely miss since she is much quicker than me.
"Stop acting like such a child Aaliyah! The sooner we speak to the witch council, the sooner that we can find out why you're a child and how to fix it. Unless you would like to remain a child forever. And need I remind you that children can't own businesses or homes," Zero reminds me, making me glare at her.
Zero had a very fair point but that didn't mean that I had to like it. I mean I just wanted to wait this out. Maybe it was just my magic pulling a little trick on me! Or maybe I was just dreaming! Yes, I had to be just dreaming.
"But we could not do that, I would prefer not doing that," I say with a smile, making Zero sigh as she nudges Miachel away and now is the sole one holding me. I think that means I can escape her hold but in fact, I can not. She is much stronger than she looks and unlike Miachel, isn't afraid of dropping me if I try to kick her.
"Enough," Zero sighs as she restrains me. Being tiny is such a disadvantage. I was definitely getting revenge on whoever or whatever did this to me. If I ever found them that is.
"I can't even teleport us there so we can't even go see them," I point out, trying my very best to prove my point. Zero gives me an exasperated look as she furrows her eyebrows.
"Vampire...superspeed," Zero says after a moment, giving me a look that screams that I should not have forgotten that vampires could travel very fast. It wasn't my fault that teleporting was more convenient. Why would I run when I could just stand in place and appear where I needed to be.
"Let's go, before she snaps out of her stupor," Miachel says. I cross my arms over my chest, relying entirely on Zero to not drop me so that I can give him the dirty look that he deserves. Zero sighs as she walks all the way outside so I have no more door frame to cling to. I huff as I narrow my eyes to glare up at her but she grabs my arm.
I try to pull it out of her grasp but it ends up just being a game of tug of war for me to be in control of my own arm. She ends up winning, only because I let her though! It certainly wasn't because she was stronger than me. She makes me put one of my arms around her neck so that I am holding onto her.
"I don't need to hang onto you, I won't fall," I huff as she takes off running. The wind that hits my face is not pleasant, it's like being outside during a windstorm and being smacked in the face with your own hair. I tuck my head against Zero's neck, clinging to her since that's my only option besides being wildly uncomfortable.
As she runs, I realize that vampire running is not equal to teleporting. First of all, teleportation is instantaneous whereas running takes a while to do. Like sure it didn't like the hours or days it would take for a human to even leave a state but 30 minutes was still much too slow.
"Stupid baby magic levels," I mutter frustratedly, mad at my magic for being so reduced. I was hoping that this was just some mean prank that someone had pulled and that my magic hadn't had anything to do with this. Because if it did....I don't even want to consider how impossible it would be to turn back.
I stay quiet as Zero runs, thinking of my plan to threaten the witch council. It probably wouldn't be very effective, they were much older than me and certainly more powerful, but it would be fun to try...I think.
I start to plot the idea out some more, wondering who exactly I could threaten first. There were different levels for threats that I was willing to go to depending on who I was speaking to. If it was Allard or Levana, it would be easy to mess with them. They were always grumpy anyways. If it was Caedmon or Ametrine, it would be significantly harder. They didn't really care about anyone or anything so it was super hard to threaten them. I will do my best though. Tenebris never gave me a reaction, at least to threats, but bringing up his ex wife always got one from him.
My musing of threats is interrupted by Zero stopping. I look around, realizing we're in front of the council palace. I struggle in her hold, earning a raised eyebrow from her.
"Put me down, I can walk," I say, making Zero chuckle as she sets me down. I stalk off, my arms crossed my chest as I walk towards the gate. I could walk all on my own and ask for help, I didn't need her to hold my hand the whole time! That would just be embarrassing. Plus there was nothing that scary in the palace.
