Ian's POV

We finally got up the rope and I looked up to see who helped us and saw Ludlow, I sighed in relief as Kelly ran over to me and hugged me, crying, "I wanna go home. I want Clary. I want Mom back." Ludlow glared at all of us, "Where is my cousin? Where is Clarissa?" I sighed and looked down as Ludlow's face dropped, "No. Tell me you're lying. Now!" I teared up, "She's alive I know that." Ludlow nodded and clenched his hands, "The mission has changed. We need to find my cousin. InGen's heiress. As well as continue what we are doing here."

Clarissa's POV

Over the next few hours, I was shaking in fear about if I was going to be the meal, but it never happened. It's like the T-Rexes didn't have an interest in making me become food. The baby just cuddled next to me as the parents cooed at me during the night. I finally fell asleep, not being able to hold back the sleep anymore, praying to God that I hadn't been eaten.

--The Next Morning--

I woke up and looked around to find the parents eating their kill and the baby eating what their parents had given them. I stood up slowly and the parents looked at me, not moving as I booked it outside the nest. I let out a breath as the T-Rex parents just softly roared at me as I made my way through the jungle. I muttered under my breath, "What the fuck did you do, Father? Why do they protect me like their own?" I came to a complete stop and my eyes widened in realization, "Imprinting. Dad somehow made them all imprint. Or this is just a fucking prank. Either one."

I heard a chirp and looked over to see a Compy looking at me with his friends and sighed, "Hey. Can you go away? I'm not dying or dead, just confused." The Compy chirped and nodded his head, leading his friends away. I yelled out into the air of the jungle, "This is bullshit! Father! What did you do to these animals to make them like me!"

I continued to run through the jungle and squealed in alarm when a Velociraptor jumped out at me. I stood still and stared at him as he stared back. He snarled at me as the rest of the pack communicated to each other. I took deep breaths as the pack leader came up to me and sniffled my hair, nuzzling into me. After he became acquainted with me, he called out to the other pack members and they went on their way.

I vaguely heard some Compy chirps and my gut told me to follow and find out. I ran over and found one of my cousin's men, about to go piss. I stepped on a branch and Dieter looked at me, "Holy shit, you're alive! I'm surprised the Rexes didn't pick you off." I eyed his gun, "I'll be needing that." Dieter narrowed his eyes, "I don't think so Princess. We can both live if you come with me back to the group, but I'm not giving you the gun or I'll have to use it."

I snarled, "Is that a threat?" Dieter smirked, "Imagine the look on Malcolm's face when I find his dead wife's body, mutilated until almost unrecognizable. Not knowing that I'm the one that killed her." I looked behind him and smirked, "I think your friend wants to have a chat before you kill me off."

Dieter turned around to see a Compy and he scoffed, pulling out his electrifying stick, "He didn't learn the first time?" I smirked, "He doesn't fear you. He's pissed. He's outsmarting you." Another Compy sat at the base of my feet as Deiter called for 'Carter'. Who never responded.

I followed Deiter in hopes of getting his gun and just as luck would have it, he tripped, falling down into a stream and his gun got stuck on a branch. I picked it up and continued to follow him down, watching as a shit ton of Compy's started to jump on him. I stood there in a place I was able to watch and looked at the Compy that followed me, "Alright since I'm apparently a dino whisperer now. Go have fun. Deiter, I said to my cousin that all of you would get what you deserve and it looks like you've been chosen as the first."

Deiter shoved all the Compy's off of him and snarled at me, "You sadistic, psychotic bitch!" I grinned, "Four years changes the feelings about a person, especially if someone's father created this madness." The Compy's started to eat him, changing the way that they're supposed to scavenge. I tilted my head as the Compy's left him and waddled over to a log in the stream, jumping up and down to mock him.

I giggled as Dieter started to walk away and the Compy's followed, only to stop when Deiter turned around to face them while they trilled and mocked him. Deiter grew irritated and ran at them to chase them away. I laughed and Deiter stomped over to me and grabbed my arm, blood all over his face, "I'm going to kill you bitch. You'll go before me."

I snarled at him, "I don't think so." The Compy's came back and Deiter looked around him in fear as the Compy's were no longer playing around. Several dozen surrounded him and Deiter fell into the water, pulling the Compy's off of him, one by one, but it wasn't doing much. A Compy looked at me and I nodded, giving it the good to do what it needed to survive. I walked away a bit to give them all privacy but stood close enough downstream to hear the screams and see the blood flow from Deiter.

I grinned as the screams came slowly to a stop and I saw blood flowing down the river. I ran back to where I first found Deiter and went the other way to find his pack and grinned as I picked it up, "Thank you, Deiter. How kind of you."

Ian's POV

I ran with Ludlow to find Roland as he came back, "Did you find him?" Roland nodded and took a drink of water, "Just the parts of him they didn't like. His pack and gun were gone. Someone else was with him though. Looks like a size eight combat boot. None of my men have such small feet." I whispered, "Clare." Roland nodded, "She's alive." Ludlow, "You don't think she..." Roland shook his head, "The only wounds on him were the Compys. I don't think she had anything to do with it, but she had to get the gun somehow. I think he dropped it trying to get away from the Compys and she didn't help him."

I sighed, "Something isn't right. Why are the dinos so adamant about keeping Clare safe?" Ludlow looked at me, "My Uncle did something during these creature's creation. Something about their genes involves my cousin. I'm not sure what."

I looked at the sky, "This isn't good. Clare is safe, but the rest of us aren't."
