Kenneth walked along the pedestrian and heaved a sigh of relief when his house came in sight. He'd been walking for at least 20 minutes, and even though he was a Terminator, with superhuman endurance, he felt as if his legs were burning. And the scorching sun didn't do much to help.
"Finally." Kenneth panted like a dog after he'd reached the doorstep of his house.
He reached out to the door knob and pulled the door open.
"I'm home!" He announced, walking into the living room.
"Oh welcome Ken." His mother greeted, dropping on the couch "Close the door behind you."
"I'm too tired for that." Kenneth groaned, turning towards the kitchen, only to find Olivia sitting behind the dining table "Oh hi, big sis."
"Is everyone lazy around this house?" His mother whined, thrusted her left arm forward, and the door telekinetically closed shut.
"So . . . how was your first day?" Olivia asked, with a confident smug.
"Normal. Nothing out of the blue." Kenneth sighed, sitting beside Olivia.
"Seriously?!" Her smug faded away "Well, you haven't embarked on your first mission yet. Wait till then."
"I don't see what you're trying to prove here." Kenneth dropped his eyes.
"Kenneth, there's news." His mother said, walking into the kitchen "Trevor has quit Terminating."
"Oh, that." Olivia said "I just learnt of it today, during class. It was like the topic of the day."
"Wait, seriously?!" Kenneth asked, with his eyes wide open.
"Yeah. Shocking, right?" His mother answered "Something happened during his team's joint mission. It has caused him to start doubting Terminators."
"What about Snyder and Ariella?" Kenneth quickly asked them.
"They are cool." Olivia answered "But something has changed about them. I can't tell what."
"Wait. No. Trevor wouldn't do that." Kenneth doubted, shaking his head "You two are messing with me."
"I really don't care if you believe us or not." Olivia shrugged her shoulders and turned to her mother "When is Dad coming this time?"
"No idea." Her mother answered her, walking towards the kitchen cabinet "I'm making pasta tonight."
"So it really is true." Kenneth gasped shortly.
"I didn't believe it at first, too." Olivia admitted "The only reason why I'm not panicking is because I think it's just a matter of time. At some point, he'll come back to his senses."
"Well, I'm going to my room." Kenneth sighed, dropping from the chair and walking towards his room "See you guys at supper."

Night time approached really soon, bringing silence to the Terminators' Town. In contrast, Rio was still as lively as always, filled with bright lights, non-stop partying, and street racing.
Master Merge flew across the sky at high speed, looking down on all the partying that'd filled the streets. From his point of view, the Humans looked like tiny ants, lined up across the street filling up every corner of the area. He couldn't tell if it was a festival or just reckless people having fun.
He slowed down when a warehouse came into sight. A very tall man stood on the roof of the warehouse and waved frantically at Merge.
"Not this guy again." Merge muttered with a sigh as he dropped slowly from the sky and finally landed on the roof.
