Was the night endless or was it just his heart falling with each step. Jimin was like a mad man, definitely insane already, taking the pavement down from the bus stop, following the navigation, that was showing only 473 meters to his destination.

The neighborhood he had ended contained of brick detached houses with tiny yards. The one he was heading towards had a nicely cut lawn, beautiful bonsai bushes around the fence and a small wooden terrace with a bench. Everything here seemed cozy and peaceful, like a place to settle, start a family and live a simple life.

What am I doing here, muttered the voice at the back of his head. You're here to be with your soulmate, he answered himself walking a bit faster as it was hard to breath.

The navigation wasn't necessary anymore so he pressed it shut glancing at the time at the top of his phone screen, 9:14, Jungkook's plane was leaving in less than two hours.

The inner shiver that thought had caused made him almost crumble into himself and cry.

It's for the better, he was telling himself opening the gate to make his way over the stone path between the lawn, up the two steps onto the terrace.

The front door cracked raising all hair on his body, he wasn't in a hotel over the rooftops of Manhattan with the one, he was here nodding his head to his classmate, who apparently was his soulmate.

"Hi," Taehyung's face lit up with so much relief. "I'm so happy you've come. I wasn't sure you will."

"Um... I... had made an appointment," Jimin was standing in some distance to the door, his heart begging him to run.

"So, come in," Taehyung opened the door further and he glanced towards the gate he has left half opened.

"Um..." his heart wasn't there yet, but he was sure it will never be, so he moved his wobbly legs forward. Each step was heavy, as if some invisible forces were tearing him back and forth.

Taehyung blushed letting him into the hall when he looked over the living room. There was a candlelight dinner ready on the dining table, the sight so heartbreaking he wanted to yell.

"Um... I have cooked pasta, my cooking skills aren't big sorry," Taehyung rubbed the backside of his neck awkwardly. "But I did my best, I also have red wine, so please sit down."

Jimin was standing in the hall watching that neatly prepared meal, the Valentine's themed napkins and small red roses placed around the plates. It seemed Taehyung had really invested a lot into that date.

"Can we skip the dinner," muttered Jimin feeling his stomach crumbling, he was sure he wouldn't be able to swallow anything.

"You mean?" Asked Taehyung in shock.

"Let's move to the bedroom and have it behind us," Jimin couldn't recognize his own voice.

"Um... sure," Taehyung took a loud breath in. "So... um, please follow," he walked through the house around a bathroom to a cozy bedroom with a nice bed that was decorated with rose petals. There was a sea of lit up milky candles, bathing the surrounding in a romantic light, like out of cliche books.
