I was sitting in the driveway of my house, when a black car followed by a moving truck pulls up to the house next door, I don't pay attention to it, but then I notice and raise my head when I saw a 4 or 5 year old girl, but she wasn't coming alone, behind her came a lady who was yelling and telling her to hurry up because she didn't have time, and she had to go to work, At my young age I got angry with that lady for treating the girl like that and I promised myself that I was going to join her and make her happy because she looked like she wanted to cry, then I heard a "Daddy" and that phrase was repeated many times along with "I want daddy", the poor girl wanted her father and he was not here, I made a decision and I went home to look for Mark.

D: Mark?

Ma: Yes Derek?

D: Some new neighbors have arrived, will you come with me to see them?

Ma: Yes, let's go -he says following me and when we get to the house next door we ring the doorbell-

D: Hello -I say when a lady opens the door- We notice you are new here and we would like to be friends with your daughter -I say while I feel my face start to getting red-

E: It's not worth it, but do what you want -she says letting us in and then shouts- Meredith come downstairs.

M: Yes mommy? -says the little blonde coming down the stairs-

E: These people want to be your friends, I have to go to work, see you later -she says walking out the door-

D: So you're Meredith?

M: Yes and you?

D: I'm Derek and this is Mark

Ma: Hi Meredith

D: Do you want to go to our house so we're not here alone?

M: Yes -she says excitedly-

When Meredith accepts we leave her house and go to my house, when we get there we meet my mom at the door.

C: Who is she? -my mom asks me and points to Meredith-

D: It's Meredith, she's the new neighbor, her mom went to work -I tell her and we enter the house-

C: Hello my love, my name is Carolyn -she says crouching down to Mer's level-

M: Hi Carolyn -she says shyly-

Mi: Honey, where are you? -My dad says entering the house-

C: In the living room Mike

Mi: Hey today... -he says but is interrupted when Mer speaks-

M: Dr. Shepherd -she says and runs to hug him-

Mi: Hi my love, what are you doing here? -he says, picking her up and hugging her-

M: My mom went to work -she says hiding her face in my father's neck-

Mi: Oh, Meredith and she leave you alone? -he asks her and turns to look at her-

M: Yes -he whispers and I barely hear her-

C: I got lost, what happened here?

Mi: Yeah sorry, I forgot -he says laughing- This is our good friend Meredith -he says tickling her belly- Her mom is a general assistant at the hospital, and I met this little girl in the hallways and we became friends, right?

M: Yes -she says laughing-

C: So her mom is not at home?

Mi: No, in fact I just saw her when I went out -he says sighing-
