After dinner you and the fam went to the den to watch a movie. Enid got to pick and chose The Fallout.
"Divina said it's really good and the lead girl, Vada, looks weirdly identical to Wednesday."
That piqued your interest as you sat on the couch. Your mother and father chose to sit on the love seat together. While Enid was getting everything set up you pulled your phone out to shoot Wednesday a text only to see one from her.
Addams🖤: That was a miscalculation on my part. I will not let it happen again.
Y/n: Is that your way of saying you'll stay safe? For me?
Addams🖤: Yes.
That's all you wanted from her. To say she'll stay safe, even if you know she'll be right back out there on the front lines if something were to happen.
Y/n: Good. Because you still owe me a tour of New Jersey. And your home. And you can't do that while you're dead.
Addams🖤: No, I suppose not.
Addams🖤: But enough about safety. I must go. My writing time is calling for my attention. I will talk to you soon, Y/n.
Wednesday was so formal when she texted. It honestly made you laugh softly to yourself.
Y/n: I look forward to it, Addams. 🥰
Enid plopped down next to you just as you send the message.
"Is that Wens?"
"Mhm," you hum with a smile on your face. "It's her writing time."
Enid lifted her wrist to check her watch and sure enough it showed the time of when Wednesday normally did writing time back in Nevermore.
"Well she's punctual if anything," mused Enid. You hum in agreement before turning to the tv just as the movie starts.
~~~
Enid was right, Vada looked scarily similar to Wednesday. The only difference was that Vada smiled more and wasn't afraid to show her emotions before the shooting. After the shooting she sort of reminded you of Wednesday when she's distraught and not sure of what to do. No matter how smart Wednesday was, she still had moments where she seeks guidance.
You were silent after the movie. Having watched a Wednesday look a like kissing another girl on screen made certain things in your chest to stir up. Of course you and Wednesday have kissed a few times. But the thought of going further never crossed your mind. Until now.
"What did ya think?" Enid asked as she nudged your shoulder with hers.
"It was really really good. The girl who plays Vada did amazingly. And she's got such a pretty smile."
"Remind you of Wednesday's, don't it?" Enid asked with a grin.
"When she smiles? Yes it does actually. They even have the same dimple."
"Yeah, I thought that was a bit weird. It's like they're the same person."
You sat there for a second and thought about it. Vada did look like Wednesday as if she could be her twin. But something felt off. Like you can tell that wasn't the same person. It was weird, to say the least but didn't make you worry too much about it.
"Either way, that was a damn good movie." Enid sat up to stretch. "What'd you guys think?" She then asked your parents. Which left you to pick your phone up and read the messages that Wednesday had left while you were admiring the girl on the screen.
