"It has been brought into our attention that a horrifying incident had occurred at the building of Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology, or better known for its short acronym - KAIST. Humans have turned into these flesh-hungry zombies who could turn you into one in just a single bite. It is said that the incident arise due to a failed science experiment of one of the students at this university. However, 4 students were present at the time, so it was undepicted who the real culprit was. Two of them had already been transformed into these creatures, but the rest were still being searched for by professional expertises. Please be aware of your surroundings, prepare your necessities to survive, and escape once you've encountered one of these zombies. That was the news of truth and accuracy from the news republic team. We are hoping everyone is in good condition and also hoping you have a great day ahead. This is Song Mo Bin, reporting live."
The news report shown at the television screen just a second ago was now replaced by another, more entertaining, channel.
Since the television was connected at the wall just above the doorframe, students and cafeteria staffs could overhear the entire statement of the news reporter. However, the announcement was taken negatively by the said individuals.
"They're still using that news over and over again? Come on, it's been reported for months already yet we're still alive 'til this day."
"Pretty sure the news media just doesn't have any more ideas to use for content."
"And like, zombies? Really? It's the year 2023 already yet people still believes in those nonsense?"
Murmurs from several students can be heard throughout the entire cafeteria. Despite the fact that they heard the alarming news, many of them refused to believe that such creatures exists in the modern world.
Which was understandable since zombies supposedly only exists in a fictional and imaginary world.
This was, however, the opposite perspective of three other students just from a nearby table. They seemed to be more amused by the fact that this kind of news keeps coming back despite already being reported for at least three times since its first launch.
"What do you guys think? Jihyo? Nayeon? Could zombies be really out there lurking around somewhere?" A girl with a grayish-black bob haircut questioned with her fingers under her chin in a thinking manner, looking back and forth between her two friends as she awaits for an answer.
The youngest, Jihyo, who's sharing the same haircut as the first girl but with a hair in a darker shade, stated her remark after gathering her thoughts around the news. "I don't know. It's possible, but there's also an undeniable chance and reason for it to be fake. Such as using it to gain attention from lots of individuals."
"You're surprisingly interested with this, Yoo Jeongyeon. Hoping to bump into a zombie on your way?" The other friend with a yellow armband on her left arm that says 'class president' written in hangul, stated as if she's trying to scare her friend.
Unfortunately, Jeongyeon just let out a laugh at her other friend's response, clearly unfazed. "It would actually be fun to encounter one in real life. But I wouldn't wish for it to appear directly in front of me. Besides, if I ever wanted to see one, I can just look in your face, Nayeon."
