"I support it." Mingi said suddenly, making San and I turn our attention back to him, shocked. Mostly because we hadn't exactly asked for anything yet.

Yunho was now looking between Mingi and us, a bit unsure which was understandable. "Why?" He questioned Mingi.

Mingi shrugged, "I think I was worried that maybe it would change the group dynamic or you guys would change but...you guys are exactly the same. Just close in a different way. It's not any of our business what you guys do behind curtains. It's nobody's business. I mean you guys are already super close, that's why you have such a huge ship. I just don't see it as that much of a big deal. You guys deserve to be happy and that's great that you guys found that in each other. I mean...are any of us really gonna sit here and tell them they shouldn't be happy?"

"What about the group...if this gets out-" Jongho interjected.

"Then it gets out! At this point the only way it would is if they both came out to the public and announced their relationship or get caught with a sex tape-"

"Mingi!" San breathed but Mingi ignored him, continuing.

"We've all been through a lot worse than two of our members coming out gay and we've always gotten back up. Seonghwa was assaulted-" Seonghwa flinched at that, "I almost killed myself!" My jaw dropped as San frowned. "Is being gay really that big of a deal?"

"In korea?"

"Suicide is also a big deal in korea. And again, Seonghwa has survived the aftermath of what he went through."

It was clear that Mingi had gotten very passionate about this and was willing to defend our relationship to the death despite us not even asking him to.

Seonghwa suddenly nodded, "I kinda agree. I went through a lot after...what happened. And that was against my will. They aren't. We have a lot of gay and supportive fans and a lot of our fans ship them."

Yunho started shaking his head and Mingi caught it, for the first time in a long time I could actually see annoyance on his face towards his best friend.

"It's still not safe. I know we have supportive fans but we also would have a lot that aren't. It's not as simple as "We'll get through it!". It affects the whole group and everyone's career." Yunho argued.

"Well then isn't it a good thing that they aren't going to come out! Because again...it's not their business! They have no right to know about their personal life and who they do or don't love. We keep things from our fans all the time, this is no different. And again, if it gets out...we'd survive it. And all of us would support you."

Yunho reluctantly sighed and nodded, "Despite my worrying...we would support you. And it's not because there's anything wrong with it...it's just scary is all."

San finally shook his head and put a hand up to stop any more arguments. "We didn't come here to ask for your permission. We just wanted to be honest because we hated lying to you guys. We're not staying together."

Mingi now frowned, "Why not?!"

I finally decided to pipe in, "Because Hongjoong has said multiple times to not date within the group. He's always put the group first no matter what, and he's sacrificed his whole life for this. We aren't risking everything he's built because of this. It could affect everything. Plus we don't even know if he'd be fine with us being gay or being a thing in the dorm."
