I put the dress in a hanger ang hang it in the cabinet. Dahil alas otso pa lang ng umaga ay napili kong matulog na muna. Wala akong tulog kagabi dahil tinapos ko na ang pinapagawa ni Dad sa akin. Mahirap na baka di ako bigyan ng allowance may pinag-iipunan pa naman ako.

Nagising ako na alas tres na pala buti na lang ay nag alarm ako. I went to the bathroom to take a shower. Nagbihis narin ako pagkatapos. I looked at myself in the whole body mirror. I knocked on Uno's room at agad naman akong pinagbuksan. 

"Ikaw lang nandito?" I asked Uno upon seeing that she's alone in the room. 

"Oo sabi ni Mommy na hanapin na lang daw natin siya sa venue." She said as she continued fixing her make up. She is wearing a mint green dress above the knee and it's sleeveless but still elegant. 

"Let's go." Yaya niya ng matapos siya sa pag-aayos. Malapit na mag-aalas singko kaya naman ay nagmadali na kami pumunta sa dalampasigan kung nasaan daw ang venue.

Nasa malayo pa lang kami ay kita ko na ang magandang pagkakadecorate ng lugar. Green flowers and blue roses were scattered in the place. Napangiti ako sa nakita ko ang aliwalas tignan. 

Agad din namin nakita yung Tita ko kaya umupo na si Uno sa tabi niya at ako naman ay umupo sa tabi ni Uno. Nagsimula na ang ceremony lahat ng nandito except sa Tita at kay Uno ay wala akong kilala. Gusto ko na lang matapos ito para makakain. 

Isang oras at kalahati rin ang ceremony bago kami pinalipat sa reception. Kaya pumunta na kami ni Uno roon habang ang Tita ko naman ay nakisalamuha pa sa iba niyang kilala. 

"K, I need to go to the room may assignment pa ako na kailangan tapusin." Paalam ni Uno sa akin. I nodded and let her go dahil plano ko ring mamasyal sa Isla. Maganda rito dahil napakapino ng buhangin kaya gusto ko munang tumambay sa dalampasigan mamaya. 

Aalis na sana ako ng mapatigil ako dahil sa nahagip ng paningin ko ang taong kakapasok lang sa venue. She is wearing a thin light blue sleeveless dress na hanggang talampakan. But my eyes were fixed to the arms that wrapped around in her waist.

It was none other than James. I scoffed and left immediately. Sa kabilang pintuan na ako lumabas. 

Pumunta na lang ako ng dalampasigan at umupo dala-dala ang ice cream na binili ko bago pumunta rito. Linantakan ko na ito dahil wala talaga ako sa mood. Pilit na bumabalik sa isip ko kung paano siya hawakan ng James na iyon. At bakit kaya sila nandito? I thought all CAS professors are in seminar.

Matapos kong kainin ang ice cream ko ay tinabi ko muna ang basura ko at kumuha ng maliliit na bato para itapon sa dagat. Maingay ang mga alon kaya napakarelaxing talaga ng paligid. 

I threw three stones all together and after I throw a large stone. 

"You don't know how deep will that stone go in the depths of the water." A familiarvoice interrupted my alone time. Hindi ko na kailangan lumingon para malaman kung sino iyon. 

"It isn't important to know. It's just a stone." I replied coldly dahil badtrip parin ako sa nakita ko kanina. I don't know why it is getting into me. I saw in my peripheral vision that she sat down next to me. Not too close but not too far either. 

"You might think that it is only small but no matter how small it is, it still can hurt." She said and played with the sand. I looked at her intently studying her face. 

"That's a water Miss. No feelings at all." I nonchalantly uttered. I heard her heavy sigh.

"But I do have feelings Mascarpa." She looked at me with a fiery eye. Sadness and hurting were all the emotions I could decipher in hers.

"I cannot return your feelings towards me Miss." Umiiling kong sabi. I am saving us from the future pain that we will suffer if ever we will pursue what we have right now.

"Oh yeah because after you gave me flowers that I don't know the name is and after three days I saw you kissing with another woman. Right, you were throwing stones to me. You have given me mixed signal when we were in my rest house. You've given me stones that I thought it could be my hope that maybe you can fall for me too. But you crashed it and I am angry with myself for still holding on in that stone that you have thrown to me." She angrily said and stood up to walk away but before she could walk away, I couldn't control myself anymore but to shout what have I had in my mind.

"I am saving you from the future pain Miss." I shouted since she is walking away. She stopped and turn around.

"Why are you saving me from the future pain? When you can't even spare me from the present pain. It hurts K because I really like you so much that it hurts knowing that I can't have you in this lifetime." Tears were pooling in her eyes and I can only look at her because I don't know what to do. 

"I am scared Miss." I broke down and cried. I felt an arms wrapped around me. I raised my head and saw her face crying also.

"I'm scared that if you let in you might sink because of me." I uttered and she gently caressed my face and wiped my tears. I couldn't even do that to her. 

"I don't mind sinking. The only thing I want is to be with you even if it means I'll sink."
