Chapter 150

I have been racking my brain trying to figure out why Blake has been acting so weird lately. I pushed that one thought out of my head because I didn't wanna believe he was doing that.

Right now, I can't think about what he's been up to because I'm helping Monique with her teen class. Even though I hate these kids.

I was watching this girl, Alyssa, go over her solo and when it came time for her to do her spin, she fell. When she did, this other girl in the class laughed. This is why I don't teach teenagers. They ain't shit.

I could tell Alyssa was a little embarrassed and upset because she tried to walk past me to leave the studio, but I wouldn't let her. I gave her a little pep talk, and we went back to the class.

"You," I said, pointing at the heffa that laughed, "what's your name?"

I nodded, "do you think you can do Alyssa's solo better than she can?"

She smiled confidently, "I do, actually."

Alyssa scoffed and tried to walk away agin, but I stopped her and put my arm around her. How does Monique put up with this shit?

"Okay," I said, "can you get up and show us?"

She got up, started the routine and just like Alyssa, she fell when she tried to do the spin. Alyssa laughed, and it made a couple other people laugh with her.

"See," I said to Alyssa, "she can't do your solo better than you, so don't let anything she says or does get to you."

She smiled and gave me a hug, then went back to rehearsing.

"Yo, Messica, lemme holla at you for a minute," I said.

She slowly trotted over to me, and we had a nice little talk. I don't tolerate teasing in this studio.

"Don't let me catch you laughing at another dancer again," I said, walking back to the group.

"Yes ma'am."

"Now take yo' toaster strudel head ass back over there and practice."

She laughed at me, then went to apologize to Alyssa before practicing again.

"Miss Briana, why don't you teach teens?" one of Monique's other students asked.

I sighed heavily, "'cause y'all are assholes."

Monique's eyes bugged out and everyone laughed, but I was dead serious. I can't fuck with these kids.

I was kinda tired and ready to go home, so that's what I did. After I picked KJ up from Brynn's house, we went to the house.

"Hola Señora Griffin," Lupe greeted me.

"Hola," I smiled, "¿es mi esposo aquí?"

"No señora."

I nodded. Of course he's not home.

"Bueno, se puede ir a casa temprano hoy. Nos vemos el viernes," I said.

She smiled, "gracias señora."

She gathered her things, told me & KJ goodbye, and she left.

9:45 p.m.

I was sitting in the living room with KJ when I decided to go check on Brielle. I looked in her crib to see her breathing abnormally. I didn't know what to do, so I put her clothes on, helped KJ put his shoes on and rushed to the hospital.
