Miss Sahani, out of my Office and out of my life!
Di, I asked mom about Mimmi and she said that she's already dead.
These two statements, one from her love and the other from her lovely sister Jagriti were enough to ruin journalist Aradhana Sahani's world.
Her love, who was her boss, excluded her not only from his office but also from his life, thereby demolishing her professional and love life all at once. It took him just a few blinks to say those words but they destroyed her years of hard work and weeks of trust, respectively.
On the other hand, when her parents revealed that they are not her biological parents, she lost herself. She couldn't even find her own traces. Seems like the rainwater washed her throughout. Aradhana then asked her little sister for a favor- to atleast give her some hints about her biological mother, if possible; But what she came across was the final nail in her coffin, that her biological mother had died years ago.
--
Aradhana was living in her friend Pooja's house since her parents abandoned her.
In the living room, the girls and Vikram, Aradhana's colleague, were discussing ways to unmask Mayank.
"What if we put a spy camera", suggested Vikram. To which Pooja retorted, "Did you not find any newer way? Tried, tested and failed."
Pooja then proposed, "How about a detective?"
"If the secretary of The Kadambari Devi can be paid to leak that video", Aradhana resonated, "This detective can also go against us for money."
"Actually," huffed Pooja and Vikram in unison.
While all these conversations were going on, the doorbell rang. Vikram went to attend and there he found his mother standing on his doorsteps with gleaming eyes. "SURPRISE" she yelled.
"Mom, I'd have come to the airport." Vikram said, they both moved towards the living room.
"What does surprise mean?" She then asked.
Once they made it to the hall, the intense aurra changed into greetings and well wishes. She was meeting with her daughter-in-law for the first time, apart from video calls. But wait, who's she?
She pointed her finger at Aradhana as if she was an alien and asked looking at Vikram, "She?" with her brows ceased.
"My best friend, Aradhana," chirped Pooja, very happy about introducing her hashtag twinning best friend to her mother-in-law.
"Why do you look familiar!" Vikram's mother wondered looking at Aradhana. "Yes! aren't you that MeToo girl. You tried to seduce your boss" She then angrily continued looking at Vikram, "Viks. What is she doing in my house." Aradhana had tears in her eyes by now.
"You have these kinds of friends, Pooja?" started looking angrily at Pooja now.
Vikram's mother held her arm tightly, dragging her off the couch towards the main gate yelling, "Get out of my house." All this time Aradhana was weeping, getting dragged out of the house.
Her hold on her arm tightening every passing second, adding to the poor soul's pains.
"Mom-mom wait. Where will she go." Vikram came in his mother's track, "her parents have abandoned her and she has no place to live. What wrong is she doing if she's living with her friends."
His mother said, "Her parents abandoned her and you want me to keep her in my house. Never." "You want me to give a abode to someone whose parents are not ready to accept them." She chuckled and said, "Grow up Vikkey!"
"Let her stay here. Please." He again continued "where will she go?"
Aradhana broke her silence, "Leave it Vikram. I'll go." And said through her tears," Aunty is right. Why would she provide roof to someone whose parents are not ready to accept her."
"You GIRL! You have 10 minutes. Pack your bags and LEAVE." His mother shouted, "Don't you dare to leave any of your traces here." Looking at Aradhana's crying face she said," DARE YOU DROP YOUR CURSED TEARS INSIDE MY HOME."
--
Inside the room Aradhana was packing her bags when Pooja came and snatched her clothes preventing her from packing.
"You'll not go." Pooja stated bluntly. "Vikram is there. He'll handle mom."
"No Pooji leave. I'll have to go. She was right." Aradhana resonated, " Also if I stay here I'll be indulged in these things only and will not be able to move on."
"And I want to move on. About Mayank and Revati, we'll meet to figure them out afterwards."
Pooja placed a soothing hand on her friend's shoulder and said," But where"
Aradhana replied, "Anywhere. Away from my happinesses. Because everyone who was my happiness has turned into my reasons to die. So I just want to run aw-away from every single thing that can keep me happy." Completed within her sobs.
"I am scared of my happy places now." And she hugged Pooja. She embraced her friend tightly and cried. Her heart out. Her eyes were drowsy and hurting due to crying for so long, but who cared. She was getting newer reasons to cry every second. The worst part was the sole reason for all her tears were those who once promised her not let even a single tear off her precious eyes.

Aradhana left Vikram's house and was striding nowhere specific on those gushing Delhi roads at night with numerous thoughts running in her mind. And the last piece of black clouds pouring their left rain droplets marking the end of monsoon.
She wanted to go somewhere she can spend this night atleast. From tomorrow morning, she will start her quest for a new life. A better life. But where to go now. Earlier, whenever her Daddy used to be angry, she used to live in her office. And about her most beautiful memory, turned into a tragedy, when Reyansh confessed his love to her was also curated during one of those days in the office itself. Now, there's no office and no daddy.
Reyansh had destroyed her. She expected that she would be able to change his misogynistic mindset. She wanted to become an aid to his every scar. A lotion to his every pain. While loving him, she always thought of him. Of making him a better person. Of healing him. She wanted to complete him, but he.
He Ended Her!
