I couldn't sleep
I'll say it's because of Netflix
But that's not why
It's because I'm scared of my dreams
I'm just too nervous to sleep
Last time I did
I dreamed about you
And then I woke up to this
This ugly, hatful reality
For a few minutes
I actually thought it was real
And I started to text you
But then I stopped
I remembered something
My dream wasn't real
So maybe dreams
Are undercover nightmares
Because that's what it felt like
Especially when I awoke
