Inside the tent, the woman with deep blue hair and electric eyes hurriedly changed her robes into something more simple and convenient to move with. Showcasing her rather muscular body.
She wore a breast plate made with leather that ends right below her chest. Paired with fitted black trousers made with stretchable fabric, with a knee and elbow pad strapped on her limbs.
However, invisible to the naked eye, all sorts of protective runes and enchantments were engraved on this seemingly ordinary outfit. Along with a particularly hidden symbol at the right chest.
A Chinese dragon wrapping around the rising sun.
The woman patted herself right where the symbol is in satisfaction before leaving the tent. And immediately, the sight that greeted her was that of muscular men getting ready to fight."Kristen, where have you been this time? The Chief's asking for you."
The blue haired woman, Kristen, focused her gaze at the other tall woman holding a spear. Kristen beamed and tackled the other in a tight hug.
"Pelia!"
Of course, the other did not even budge as she readily caught the much smaller female on her arms.
"You disappeared without notice again. I worry, you know."
Pelia softly patted the giggling female who was clinging to her. Meanwhile, Kristen mischievously climbed her way to Pelia's back, hugging her neck not to fall.
In an instant, the two were already on a piggyback position. With Kristen beaming brightly while riding behind Pelia's back, who was shaking her head in amusement.
Pelia softly sighed in defeat as she supported the younger female on her back. Those who saw them in this familiar situation couldn't help but chuckle to themselves.
"The Vice Captain of the non-mage faction, being reduced to a mere carriage. Do you not feel bad, Little Kristen?"
Pelia jokingly complained as she walked toward the center tent where the chief, Toonka, was at. Behind her, Kristen simply nestled comfortably on the crook of her neck like a kitten.
"Hmm. You always let me, now I can't stop. It's a habit now, Unnie. A habit. It's your fault for spoiling me."
Kristen whispered as she tightened her hug slightly. Of course, the older female simply chuckled affectionately at her.
Don't be deceived by her cute and cuddly personality. This girl, Kristen, was actually someone stronger than even their chief Toonka. Or so they were told.
The two, with one riding behind the other's back, reached the tent. Even while outside, the booming voice of their factions leader could be heard from inside.
Kristen immediately hopped down on Pelia's back and stood straight beside her. An action that amused Pelia greatly.
Now side by side, Pelia cleared her throat and announced their arrival to the ones inside the tent.
"Chief! Kristen's back!"
The previously lively voices inside turned silent. Before several banging were heard, as if the the ones inside were in rushed chaos.
After several seconds, and few more loud banging sounds, the entrance of the tent flapped open. Revealing a ordinary looking man with brown hair and eyes."Harol-oppa!"
Kristen beamed at the man while waving her two hands wildly. However, she did not move from her spot to tackle him like she did with Pelia before.
Harol Kodiang, the Supreme chief of the faction, smiled softly at the girl. He approached them, planning to ruffle Kristen's braided blue hair.
However, before he could place his hand on the other's awaiting head, the tent's entrance flapped open once again. This time, another male went out.Contrary to her reaction to the two before, Kristen immediately went on guard. Glaring fiercely at the newcomer, like a cat with their hair standing aggressively.
"Hota."
Kristen greeted customarily, without an ounce of emotion in her voice. Both Pelia and Harol simply exchanged worried glances upon seeing this.
