Valentine's Day Special

A/N: I wrote this scene last year for Valentine's Day. It's a flashback to Trey and Lauren in high school.

Trey took his time getting to school on this faithful day. He had to make sure he was real sharp if his plan was right. He saved up just the right amount of money to get a nice suit. Not one of those suits from Suit Mart, but an actually good suit.

He went to his uncle to see if he could borrow his all white gators. He knew he could get at least a chuckle out of Lauren with those.

Trey had made plans with the principle that during lunch, he would do something real special for Lauren. Let's just say that she's gonna get a full show today.

"Alright ma, love you." Trey said to his mother as she slept. He made sure to have a bouquet of roses delivered to their house later on for her.

"You ready to go Forrest?" Trey asked his brother on his way out. Since he was going to school late, he just decided to take his little brother to school.

"Yeah, I'm ready. Just don't get out the car. I don't want nobody to see you looking like that." Forrest said as he exploded in a fit of giggles. Trey just brushed off what he said. He knew his brother was just too young to understand.

"You just wait and see little brother."

Lauren hadn't seen Trey all day. That really didn't bother her too much. What bothered her was that he hasn't spoken to her since the prom.

She wasn't going to sweat him though. She had too much to worry about. She had scholarships that were due. She also had to be prepared to hear her friends talk about their Valentine's Day gifts or the one that didn't get anything hate on the ones that did.

"I'm so glad Dequan actually got me something. It would've been hell to pay if he didn't." Lauren's friend Toya said while popping her gum. Lauren couldn't help but laugh.

"What would've happened if he didn't get you something?" Teri said as she sipped her water.

"We would've been fighting. He knows I don't mind scrapping." Toya said as all three of us laughed.

"Wow Toya, you are a trip." Lauren said as she got up to throw her food away. As she was coming back from the trash can, she noticed Trey up on stage talking to their principle. He probably had got in trouble and was trying to get out of it.

She couldn't help but notice his all white suit and his white gators. She cracked up as she sat down. Where in the world is he going with all that on?

"What is wrong with Tremaine?" Toya said as she rolled her eyes. Lauren's friends knew what was up with her and Trey, so you know they weren't really feeling him at the moment.

"How is everybody doing out there?" Trey said as he got up on the mic. He was known for being a class clown, so they couldn't help but laugh.

"On the serious tip, I'm going to sing for someone who I believe is a very special person. Happy Valentine's Day Lauren. This one's for you." Music began to play as Lauren blushed.

So fine I go "that's my baby", so if you need me say "your my baby"

As Trey ended his song, he walked over to Lauren.

"I believe these are for you." He said as he pulled out a giant bear and a heart shaped box filled with chocolate.

"For me? Why? You haven't spoken to me since prom. What's up with all of this now?" Lauren said as she folded her arms. She was appreciative, but she wasn't a fool.

"Look, that's my fault and I'm sorry. I was kinda busy working just to get this suit. Plus, I had to do extra favors for the principle." Trey stated apologetically.

"Aww, all of this for me. I'm not this special." Lauren said. She was cool and all, but what did she do to deserve all of this.

"Girl, have you lost your mind. You're all types of special and then some. And if you let me, I could treat you special for the rest of my life." Trey said as he grabbed Lauren and kissed her. 

"Happy Valentine's Day..."
