Prologue

The writer's POV (My Turn to Shine after many books)

Many years ago, in the historical castle at the center of the most powerful but loyal country, ruled by the most loved Emperor and Empress of China, Emperor Plagg and Queen Tikki, there was a seven-year-old Asian girl, who is the one and only Princess of China.

She is a beautiful child with light skin, noticeable freckles on her little cheeks and nose, and midnight blue hair that is tied up in two pigtails. She is wearing a pink dress with little pink slippers as well. Everyone adores this kid as she is the one and only daughter of the most respected leaders of China, and she is a very kind-hearted soul. So with her beauty and kindness, this made everyone think that she is an angel. She is a princess that no one expected to see ever, known as Meixiu Shénqí-Cheng.

She loves spending time with her parents, even if they are really busy dealing with the kingdom. They are busy people, but always find time for their only daughter. So today, Queen Tikki took her daughter to their enormous garden to play with the dolls.

"Give up, Mister Pigeon! I will defeat you anyway as I am known as the one and only lAdYbUg!"

"I will never give up! I will fulfill my destiny to China be the place where Pigeons will live, even if I have to destroy every human being!"

"You are a weirdo! Attack!!!"

As the little girl shouted, she ran with her doll in her hands towards her mother to attack each other, but she didn't expect her mother to grab her and tickle her in defense. "But you must have not expected my secret weapon. The tickling technique!"

It was hard for the little girl to resist laughing from the tickles, which made her mother loosen the doll from her hands. It was an excellent moment for her to grab the doll from her mother's hand and drop it on the ground, meaning that she won.

"Yay! Ladybug won as always she does! And she didn't need Chat Noir to do so!"

"Of course not, sweetie." The queen grabbed her child and placed her on her lap. "Ladybug is a very strong and independent lady. Just like you will be when you are older. I can see that in you."

"And I will be the greatest queen ever!!" Then the kid jumped up from her mother's lap and did a sweet little hero pose.

"Of course that you will be, sweetie" She stood up and grabbed her daughter's small hand. "But you have grown up for this rule, just like your mummy and daddy, and then you will take over the kingdom, just like what your father is doing, and what his parents did, and other ancestors did as..."

The queen stopped talking when she heard someone walking from behind. When she turned around as well as her daughter, they saw their butler standing there. "Your majesty. The guess-tss have arrived to diss-cuss with you and the Emperor about the businessss."

"Thank you, Butler Sass" The queen took a deep breath before she kneeled to her daughter. "Meixiu, stay here for your nanny to take you for some ice cream. I have to go to a meeting."

"Are you going to be back?"

The queen froze for a second before she took a deep breath again. "I will be back soon. Stay here."

With that, the queen stood up and went with their butler to the castle, while her nanny soon arrived and took the little girl to grab some ice cream. The girl doesn't mind what it is about since her mother and father always do that, but it felt different this time.
