"What's the occasion Nasir so I can know how to dress?" I asked standing in the camera on FaceTime. I had him propped up on my counter while I did my makeup.

"Just dress up, ima take you out to dinner, then I got some other shit planned for us tomorrow."

"You don't know if I have clients or not tomorrow how you just gone make plans for me?"

"Tomorrow is Thursday you don't do nails on Thursday dummy." He said in a duh tone. He had the phone in his lap as he drove. His dreads were all in the camera.

"You're so mean to me." I said dramatically.

"Stop the cap, yo ass just spoiled and dramatic as hell."

"You're a liar, I'm not spoiled or dramatic." I said pointing at the camera.

"I think I want a dog Nasir." I had been thinking about either buying a dog or going and rescuing one. My heart has been really set on rescuing a big dog, I've had small dogs all of my life and really wanted a big dog. I feel like their more loving.

"No." He said getting out of the car heading into what looked like a gas station.

"Lemme get $70 on pump fo."

"It's four not fo." I said mocking his thick accent.

"Why you don't think I should get a dog?"

"Because you're never home, and dogs are ugly asshit." He said making dramatically gasp.

"You're such an odd person, but for real can you go up to the shelter to come look with me?"

"No." He said almost immediately making me scrunch my face up.

"No?"

"That's what I said, ain it?"

"Yea im hanging up on you immediately." I said ending the call.

"Ugh now what am I finna wear." I said walking into my closet. I wanted give sexy but also not show too much.

I decided on this cropped corset and some shorts after getting dressed I looked in the mirror admiring myself. Before I could get too deep in my thoughts my phone rang I looked down seeing it was Miya.

I answered the FaceTime, propping the phone up, her face instantly scrunched up.

"You got other friends I don't know about?" She asked as if she was offended.

"Girllll and yes my friend is taking me on date." She raised her eyebrow at the word date.

"Who? Don't make me tell my brother on you." She said referring to Nasir.

"Girlll tell him, hetheonetakingmeoutanyways." I said quickly knowing she would still catch it.

"OMGGG I knew you liked him talking  about that's your friend." She squealed excitedly. Ever since the first time we met Nasir and Quan she's swore I liked Nasir when i genuinely didn't at first.
