Norm, Ndeh, Grace, and Tsu'tey are in the background discussing a few things — none of which you properly catch as you're too far away.
Far too motion sick and pregnant to care, anyway.
Everyone's slowly making their way in - and Jake insists they're good to go in, but he wants to wait for you to catch up.
He wraps his arms around your lower waist and kisses your forehead.
"Do you need anything before we go in?"
"Nothing I can worry about right now." You explain. "It's fine, let's just go. I don't want to keep anyone waiting."
It's similar to the gatherings at the tree of souls, except back then - so many Navi had been lost to the attack on Hometree.
It's bittersweet to be back in the wide opening of the lower section, watching as everyone separates in groups as Eytukan and Tsu'tey stand tall on a larger platform - with everyone else sitting around.
Your group is invited to sit closer - and of course Jake insists he sit directly behind you, with his legs open so you can lean into his chest as he lays his chin on your head.
A sense of comfort, despite how disgusting you feel.
Grace and Norm take their places next to Mo'at and Neytiri as they're to help with translations, and take notes if the humans should question anything later on. And N'deh isn't far - with a larger group of his own men joined in on the sidelines as they all take a seat.
And that's when you notice the Olangi clan making their way in as well.
Whatever decision they have come to - it was a decision made amongst several clan leaders.
Eytukan asks for Tsu'tey to take the lead in speaking, seeing as he's far better with English than he or Mo'at.
It's a mix of Na'vi and English at best, but nothing you don't understand.
Jake asks a few times here or there for clarification, but he gets the main point happening.
Tsu'tey has greeted the people — Na'vi and Human alike — and explains how they've come to an agreement on what they feel is appropriate in this situation.
Jake leans forward, and of course - here he goes rubbing his palms on your belly again. He just can't keep his hands off, it must be a way of stimming, comforting himself at times, or truly appreciating the gift you're giving him.
Your heart can't help but drop at the worth of things — but understand this is bigger than your own life, bigger than a want.
Tsu'tey explains that they know the coming RDA still have avatars of their own, how their fight will be sudden and full of many risks. How they are facing a threat that we cannot defeat alone. He is well aware the RDA is coming to destroy their homes, and that they must gather what help they can to stop them when the time comes.
It is a price everyone must pay; and respect. He insists that they do what it takes to defend their way of life and preserve our culture.
Even if it means coming to this.
Moat eventually stands, and her own thoughts are given as she takes the forefront of the leader group.
She knows that it's difficult to see her ancestors' used in this way — and really tugs on the fact that they must remember the avatars before them now, are not the those bodies themselves. They are simply a genetic blueprint, a tool that one can use to fight the RDA and protect this home.
Tsu'tey places a hand on her shoulder, and she sets her hand on top of his as she spares a few tears - mourning for the desecrated bodies.
"We ask that the sky people before us join in our fight. Together, we can defeat these demons — and protect our home."
Jake clings tighter to you as you sit up straighter, watching as Eytukan steps forward now.
It's a rough translation you give Jake — about how Eytukan asks that everyone who has an Avatar body, use it to learn their ways, become part of the clan, and indulge in their practices, as well as their language.
To show respect and honor those before them.
They seem to have some leeway, but ask that they at minimum complete their first few rituals.
Everyone, by the time this war begins — would have their own Ikran, know how to hunt, and speak their language — so that it will not be forgotten in generations to come should anything happen to them.
As long as they respect their ways, and truly become part of the clan like Jake and you have - they'd welcome the dream walkers. They've seen how far everyone has come, and heard everything Grace reported to Mo'at about the raid before — and he is impressed with their loyalty to say the least.
You wipe away a few tears, understanding that this must have been a very difficult decision.
Although there are a large number of clans around, it seems most of those bodies fell within three clans. Tsumongwi, Omatikaya, and the Olangi.
So the dream walkers could get the best exposure possible, they ask that everyone learn a few things from each tribe and take it to heart.
And everyone here is more than willing - even the scientists who remain without an Avatar can still learn their home-making skills and language - or cooking and fishing.
It seems the world is putting itself together in a better light this time, for it reflects more and more of what you had hoped to rebuild with this new chance.
Especially as you never had the opportunity to sit here with Jake, in the middle of Hometree, and experiencing having your pregnancy and soon to be child here.
It was devastating raising them without Hometree, for even if you and Jake were still othered as human-born — your kids were born here, and as such should have experienced it as it was meant to be.
Despite having a mix of Na'vi and human genetic material, they were all way more Na'vi at the end of the day.
