Namaste, Wattpadians!
Welcome to the second edition of Indian Legion Awards. These awards are here to encourage and find the talented yet undiscovered writers.
We accept all genres with a warm heart as India...
Yes, it's finally here! But before we announce our winners, there are a few things we would like to say.
Firstly to our judges: Thank you for taking the time and effort to read, understand, and give detailed scores on stories! You all have done an amazing job, and we could not have asked for more.
Secondly: To all the participants who were a part of this competition, a big thank you. Without you, this competition would have never been possible. Judges praised the enriched content of the books.
Thirdly: Every author has a unique style of writing and executing creativity. Writing is not a race, everyone is a winner as long as you write for yourself. We want to bring some deserving books into the light. Please know that the judgments are subjective thus they will be different for everyone.
Review: "Choices" is a toe-curling, mind-blowing thriller and it navigates through the life of three adults who are victims, made so by society, by the fear of judgment or simply bad fortune. The 'title' is apt and makes very much sense once you start reading the book. The opening hooked me right away. The author has been thorough with the character-building, doing it subtly and smoothly. The best part was the switch between different POVs. They were efficient and did not feel forced for instance. The plot did not disappoint. I did not feel the need to stop reading before I reached the climax. The one thing I believe could be changed and made more befitting of the story is the cover. Overall, this book is a gem. Keep it up!
Review: "Pick and Choose Me" is a love triangle, a battle of wills, of heart and of what is right. The love soars in the chapters of the book. For romance lovers, this is a heart-melting tale where the plot will make you scream in frustration but that is a good thing when it comes to book. Always. The characterization is meticulous. The doubt and lingering insecurities in the characters are a testament to how close stories are to real lives and these are the facts that make characters seem real. Although I feel the mystery of the third angle is stretched for longer than needed without foreshadowing, I am still waiting for the author to write further so I can read more.
Review: "Hopes and Hearts" is an amalgamation of office romance and enemies-to-lovers. The gripping part was the genuineness of the exchange taking place between the characters. The cover was as catchy as the banter between the main characters in the book. While the plot was intriguing, the author needs to focus a bit on editing and making the descriptive and narrative clear by using paragraph changes, preventing single lines, etc. Overall, the raw emotions portrayed in the book made me read more and more.
