About the author - Pengiwen

My name is Hannah, but I'm better known as Pengiwen or H. G. Martin, which is my username and pen-name. I am from Hendersonville, Tennessee (better known as Taylor Swift's hometown) and I'm the proud cat-mom of Luna Moony Blackbean - who moonlights as my co-author. I can't choose a favorite Marauder, so please don't ask me to!

Writing has been a passion of mine since I was a child. I have a Master of Arts in Creative Writing. I'm very excited to get to share my writing with others. To be able to do so within the realms of the Harry Potter fandom is even better!

About the story - Marauders Year One

Marauders Year One is just the first of a multi-book series spanning from the Marauders first year at Hogwarts to their post-Hogwarts years, which is currently being posted as Marauders: Order of the Phoenix. The series includes Year One, Year Two, Year Three, Year Four, Year Five Part I & II, Year Six Part I & II, Year Seven Part I & II, Order of the Phoenix Part I & currently posting Part II. Plans to span through several additional parts of OOTP years are planned. The OOTP Parts include flashes from Harry's years woven throughout.

Because Year One was written so long ago (I started in 2013) and serves as a base for the story that followed through to the book I'm currently working on (Order of the Phoenix, about the Marauders' post-Hogwarts years), I have a lot of favorite quotes that became more meanigful later (especially now with Lily learning about "Love Magic" and reliving the past experiences in the process). But my favorite is a bit of a classic --The boys foolishly decide to try to take on Lord Voldemort in their first year by summoning him to the Forbidden Forest, intent on neutralizing the Dark Lord with stunners! When their plans are foiled (because of course they are), Voldemort attempts to talk eleven year old James into joining his team instead of standing up for what's right. What results is James Potter's first act of defiance - it's my favorite quote and one that I get the most comments and reactions on from the First Year book, even now - ten years later - I see people commenting with it in the current books!
