I just like your taste, Jungkook's words from last night came back messing him up even more.
"So, can we start?" Ranty clapped.
"Yes," Jimin gulped taking position in the middle of the room when the music came.
Jungkook's hands landed on him and he freaked out jumping away.
"What's up!" Jungkook looked at him stunned.
"I'm sorry. I wasn't prepared," he stuttered.
"Ok, one more time," Ranty sighed restarting the music and Jimin was sure he needs to concentrate on the dance only, but it was difficult to be in Jungkook's touch today, so split between the burning longing and the impossibility to fulfill it.
Still they were practicing the moves over and over again, each time a little bit smoother and Jimin was letting go of it all trying to be just here and now in this dance.
"Ok, I will record the next try, then we will monitor it and speak about it," Ranty took his phone out.
"Today you're not at your full potential," muttered Jungkook when Jimin bit his lip.
"I know," he said looking up into his favorite eyes.
"How can we make it better?" Jungkook caressed down his arms raising electrifying goosebumps all over his skin.
"I don't know," Jimin muttered honestly when Jungkook pulled him in to his body giving him a warm hug.
"Just relax, we can do an amazing performance, ok?"
"Ok," his heart was now banging like crazy and he couldn't understand why Jungkook had changed to so affectionate since last night. Maybe he wanted to win the bet and... Jimin's stomach flipped when his head filled with many unholy images of him kissing down Jungkook's abs. Stop, concentrate, he was begging himself pulling out of the hug to take a long breath.
"Ok, I'm ready," he muttered turning towards the mirror to watch himself and Jungkook, worlds apart, yet here together in that strangeness he couldn't even give a name. They were a superstar and his dancer, but then again they weren't. They were almost friends, but it was not adding up. They were acting like lovers, while they were so far from it.
Just Jimin and Jungkook two lost boys without a soulmate.
"You're seem sad today," Jungkook approached to gently massage the backside of his neck as if to give him strength.
"I'm ok," Jimin was sure he didn't want to speak about it all, not now. "Let's dance," he muttered, so they took position and Ranty started the music.
That smooth ballad surrounding them like a spell and Jungkook took his hand to spin him over the floor, so he made a complicated roll over his back, for his idol to grab his hips and lift him up spinning him in the air. The flying swan, the young moon eclipsing the sun, just them while Jungkook was giggling spinning him more than necessary when he squealed holding on for dear life as his head got so dizzy.
"Enough! Enough put me down."
The whole practice room was racing when his feet touched the floor and Jimin sat down rolling over the wood in giggles.
"This is definitely more of the atmosphere I want you two to portray," Ranty clapped. "You're lovers who had found each other in the moonlight to have your forbidden moment."
"Ok," Jimin sighed getting up trying to stop the laughing.
Jungkook was so crazy but fun to spend time with, it all seemed easier when he was around.
"Good, can you now dance to the end?" Ranty grinned preparing the phone.
"Ok," Jungkook winked and they went into position, this time it was difficult to keep a straight face but Jimin had loosened up so each figure was easier, the dance flowing nicely till the last note when they burst out into laughter again. Jimin wasn't even sure what they were laughing about, still there was just happiness inside him.
"Ok, let's watch," Ranty gave them a sign to come so they sat down next to the mirror looking over the phone. It was far from perfect, far from that mysterious romance atmosphere Jungkook wanted to portray, but their connection was better.
"We still have a lot of work," Jimin sighed.
"And only two weeks to fall in love," Jungkook laughed.
"What?" Jimin's stomach made an abrupt flip.
"You should see your face," Jungkook was now giggling madly so Jimin hit his arm.
"Auch!"
"You're so bad! Really!"
"Don't worry, you still have full two weeks to fall head over heels in love with me and I'm handsome, so..." Jungkook flipped his curls back confidently when Jimin fell on the floor from laughter.
"Do you really think someone would fall in love with a bad guy like you?" He asked getting over the giggling.
"Try me," Jungkook's eyes filled with the same dangerous glitters as last night.
"Guys, if you're done flirting, we have a routine to concentrate on," Ranty broke their moment so Jimin blushed horribly.
"Come, I only have twenty minutes for that rehearsal left," Jungkook became serious. "Then I have to rush for another schedule, so today my driver will drop you off at home babe."
All Jimin could do was to nod his head, he wasn't even offended anymore as he was slowly learning Jungkook's actions and his words belonged to a completely different universe and strangely he was falling head over heels for that playfulness.
Ranty started the music, so he jumped up running to Jungkook to stop beside him and feel this warm hands briefly squeezing his hips. His heart one beating mess and he was fighting with himself for not to lean in and dive into his dream man. There was Jungkook's warm breath fanning the side of his neck, but he knew better not to turn around and lose the bet, so they just started dancing, pretending they were just a singer and his dancer practicing till time ran out.
The door of the cafe opened and Jimin sighed collecting his courage.
The past week had flown by like in an eye blink. Every day he was in Hype's practice room dancing with Jungkook, but not really going any further from that, because Jungkook was extremely busy promoting his new single. Every evening the company driver was bringing him home while the hole in his heart was growing bigger. He was missing Jungkook deeply, missing his closeness, missing him physically.
Today Jungkook had no time for practice as it was the start of the weekend and he had taken a plane overseas for a promotion, so Jimin decided to accept an offer to go for coffee with Taehyung. Was it cheating? Still the urge to find out who his real soulmate is was giving him insomnia and he decided to lead an investigation by getting know them both.
