"Stephen!" That sounded like Elizabeth. The little girl then vanished. I felt a touch on my shoulder. Thinking it was the little girl I turned around and swung for whomever was behind me. "Whoa!" Elizabeth said as she grabbed my arm. I breathed heavily while looking her dead in the eyes. "What are you doing here?" I asked. "I forgot my jacket." Elisabeth said, scratching her neck. "What are you doing out of bed by the way? Don't you know it's late?" She told me. "I just thought I saw someone is all." I said, turning around. We both started walking to my room. "Man, it's really dark" Elizabeth said. "Yeah we had a power outage." We walked into my room. Elisabeth walked up to her jacket and slid it on. "Well, like I said, see you tomorrow." Elizabeth said, with a cheerful smile. She ran up and hugged me. "Later!" Elizabeth said, while leaving the room. I smiled and got into bed.
Surprisingly I didn't have the nightmare last night. I actually don't even recall having a dream, let alone a bad one. Maybe it's a sign that the dreams are stopping. I looked at the clock. Elizabeth will be here any minute, I better change. I then got off the bed and headed towards the dresser near the door. Walking to the dresser, I look toward the window. I fall to the floor in fear, as I see the same man from my dreams smiling at me through the window.
After I blinked once the man was gone. I rubbed my eyes. "Why are you on the floor?" Elizabeth said, startling me. "I, uh." Elizabeth reached out for my hand. I grabbed her hand and she lifted me up. "You ready to go?" She looked at me with her innocent bright blue eyes. "Yeah, just let me change and I will go right out." Elizabeth turned to the door and walked out. I walked over to the door and closed it. I turned to the window and let out a sigh. I took off my clothes and put my clean ones on. I started to the mirror in the corner of the room. Standing In front of the mirror I felt something sharp in my pocket. I reach for the item and noticed it was a comb. I looked back at the mirror and combed my short brown hair to the left. "There!" Elizabeth started knocking on the door. "Hey! You coming?" I walked to the door and opened it. "Sorry. Let's go." I said, giving my sister a hug.
Elizabeth and I walked down the long hallway, leading to the main hall. "So your birthday is coming up." Elizabeth said, wrapping her arm around my neck. "So how old are you going to be?" Elizabeth asked. "14, and you know that" I said, with a laugh. We arrived at the door to the hospital. I stopped. "It's kind of weird. I haven't even been outside in 3 almost 4 weeks." I said. "You'll be fine." Elizabeth said, opening the door and pushing me through. "Hey!" I yelled. The sun shines in my face, almost blinding me. I raise my hand to my face blocking out the sun. "It's just bright because you haven't been outside in a while. It's actually not that bright." As my eyes adjusted to the Sun's rays, we headed for Elizabeth's car. The walk to the car was very quiet. As we arrived at the car I looked to the window of my room. I let out a gasp, as I see the man from my dreams, standing, looking at me. "What's wrong?" Elizabeth said, looking at me with a confused face. "Uh. Nothing." I said, stepping into Elizabeth's car. I looked back at the window to see the man was gone. I let out a sigh and put reached for my seat belt. I clicked it in and so did Elizabeth. We then rode out of the parking lot.
"So tell me again. Why were you out of bed last night" Elizabeth asked. "Don't think I'm crazy, but you know my bad dreams?" "Yeah." "Well, it's like I'm living it. Like actually. I have seen the man in my dreams a few times now and I left my room to investigate because I thought I saw him." I said, with a dull look on my face. A smile emerged from her face. "What's so funny?" I asked. She didn't answer me, all she did was look at me with a smile. "So where are we going?" I asked. "I thought it would be nice to go get some breakfast." Elizabeth said, looking at me with another big smile. "Awesome, i'm starving." Elizabeth turned a corner and a restaurant was in view. Elizabeth pulled in the parking lot and we got out of the car.
Elizabeth walked up to the door and opened it. "After you sir." Elizabeth said, with an english accent. With a smile, I walked in. Walking in I notice there wasn't a lot of people there. "You get a table and I will order your favourite." Elizabeth said, walking towards the counter. I walked to a two person table at the back of the restaurant. I sat down and noticed there was a strange man sitting by himself in the next row of seats ahead of me. He was a bald man with a big shaggy beard. The man also had a pink scar across his right eye. I waited a few more minutes and Elizabeth finally arrived with our breakfast. She placed the tray of food on the table. "I will be right back, I need to use the restroom." Elizabeth told me. Elizabeth then started for the restroom. I pulled the tray of food closer to me and started to eat. Enjoying my food, I look up to notice the lights were off in the whole restaurant
