The Greatest Showmance (rini au)

Chapter 6

Ricky's pov:
Today is the first rehearsal for the musical. I'm nervous but excited to see Nini again. I changed my shirt like 5 times before going to school this morning. Is this what it feels like to be a girl?
When I got there, my eyes scanned the room for Nini. I found her in the corner talking to her friend. I think her name was Gina.

"Hey Nini!" I greeted her.
"Oh hi Ricky!" She smiled.

Her smile instantly gave me butterflies. Ugh what this girl does to me.

"Oh uh Gina this is Ricky. Ricky, Gina." She said.
"Nice to meet you Gina." I said shaking her hand.
"Nice to meet you too Ricky." She said.
"Ok people!!! Find your spots and settle down!" Ms Jenn exclaimed.

I sat down in a chair with my name on it, and Nini sat to my left. Ej nodded at me as he sat to my right.

"Now everyone take your neighbours' hand." She said.

I took Ej's hand then offered my other to Nini. She gently placed her hand on mine and instantly caused butterflies in my stomach, again. I barely even paid attention to Ms Jenn when she was doing her whole motivation speech, since I was staring at Nini. So I was pretty startled when Ms Jenn sang a high note all of a sudden. I practically jumped in my seat. I could see Ej chuckling and shaking his head at the corner of my eye.

After that we did a read through. Our stage manager Natalie was sick. Luckily, Big Red was still in the school library, so I went and dragged him to come here. He did not seem very happy, so I had to bribe him by telling him I'll buy him Starbucks tomorrow.

After we finished today's section, Ms. Jenn clapped her hands together.

"We're off to a great start!" She exclaimed, "I am now handing out a permission form for all of you to attend an overnight boot camp this weekend! Please bring it back by tomorrow thank you!"
