Paramnesia || Na Jaemin

chapter 3

When we arrive to our home, I could only stare in awe.

It looks as if someone had actually lived here

They had planted flowers around the house in front. We never really had any flowers and such because we would only come on vacations so there would be no one to care for them.

I look around frantically trying to find the park from my sketch

'If mom said it was in the neighborhood then it must be close'

As I look, I caught sight of a small park nearby with kids on the swings laughing.

It was the weekend so there were a few kids on the set

I observed the scenery to see if it was the one and so far all seemed the same from my drawing. I mentally facepalmed as I questioned myself

'How did I not remember my own childhood playground?'

I looked back at my house as we started to walk in, We quickly took off our shoes in the porch and stepped inside. everything seemed to be taken out of the boxes and put in place.

"Wahhhh~ did you guys set it up for us? That is so sweet~" My mom gushed as she started to walk around in the house

I made eye contact with my brother as we began pushing each other to look for our rooms

As we turned the corner, my brother had crashed into a grandfather clock

I began laughing so hard as he fell to the ground holding his face in pain, I should probably help him but he'll be alright

He didn't seem to appreciate the laughter as he tried to pull my legs

"Ah ah ah~ no way" I back up fast and walked by him, leaving him on the floor

"Dude help me uppp" he reached out a hand trying to grab me, I was not going to fall for that trick move

Before I could answer, my grandma walked around the corner and only clicked her tongue at us.

We looked at her in glee, my brother all of sudden forgetting his pain rushed up and gave her a hug

I ran up to her too, so happy to see her after so long.

She laughed as she looked at us with a warm smile

"I am so glad you guys are here" she cupped our faces and pulled away as she held her hands together

"I have prepared lunch come eat" she turned around and gracefully walked away having us hurriedly catching up

If there's one thing I missed about Korea, it was most definitely my grandmas cooking.

After we ate, my sister leaned back on her chair and patted her stomach

"Wow grandma, I am sooo full" I chuckle at hye-ra's action

My grandma smiled in pride as she looked at her "Good, I am glad you enjoyed it"

When we finished cleaning, I decided to look for my room again

When I found my room, I noticed my name on the door, that just makes it so much easier for us

I walked in and observed my room

I had a full sized bed in the middle of the room with many pillows and plushies on it, with a small dresser next to the left side of the bed, on top there was a flower shaped lamp. On the right side of the bed there was a beanbag. a vanity placed on the left side of the room, the floor was carpet. I could also see that the windows were blurred and colorful beads were placed as curtains making rainbows shine in my room, I noticed there were shades on top so I could pull them down for nighttime. There was a tv on the wall which I never had so that was exciting. I had a tall dresser on the right side which had my books, cd's and other decorations. The walls were a light yellow making the room seem brighter. A door next to the vanity so I could guess that it was the closet. It was simple and cute, above my bed there a small dream catcher on the headboard.
