Dalawang araw pa lang ang nakakalipas simula nung umalis si Vaughncent pero miss na miss ko na siya. Let's say that I already got used with his presence. So knowing that he's not in the Philippines right now, or I can't see him closely makes my heart ache a little bit.
But I was glad that he didn't forgot to text me when he arrived in Sydney. I was feel at ease when I knew that he arrived safely.
And about the video calls? Lagi na lang hindi natutuloy. Sydney is 2 hours ahead of Philippines so if I am vacant at my work, he's also busy at that time because he has lots of meetings to catch up. But he didn't forgot to text me and ask me if I am okay, if I already eat or not, or what I'm doing and telling me for how many times how he misses me so much.
Kagaya ngayon, wala akong masyadong ginagawa and I tried to call him pero di siya sumasagot. I tried to text him but no response rin.
Kalaunan, napag desisyonan ko na lang na bumaba. Magmula kaninang umaga ay di pa ako nakakapagpalit ng pang employee's uniform. I'm still wearing my white blouse top and fitted slacks paired with white stiletto. Hinayaan ko lang rin na nakalugay ang buhok ko.
Nang makarating sa first floor, napansin ko na hindi masyadong marami ang tao ngayon. Well, the weather is so hot today so I guess ayaw mainitan nung iba.
As I started walking towards the Garden of Sep, someone tapped me on the back. And as I turned around, I saw this man's face again - Win.
"Hi, gorgeous!" nakangiting bati ni Win.
"Wi- I mean, sir Win?"
"The one and only." aniya sabay kindat sa akin.
"So...what are you doing here?" aniya sabay pamulsa.
"Uhm..." I roamed my eyes as I tried to look for an alibi.
"Oh! Do you have a date today? Hindi ka kasi naka uniform eh. Wala ka bang trabaho? By the way, you look gorgeous in that attire." aniya sabay tingin sa akin mula ulo hanggang paa. And what he said gave me an idea.
"Ah, o-oo! May kikitain lang ako ngayong araw. It's my day off today so I must enjoy this day." ani ko, nagbabakasakali na hindi niya maramdaman ang awkwardness ko.
"Hmm...is it a girl or a boy?" aniya, tinutukoy kung sino ang kikitain ko ngayon.
"A girl."
"Great! So when will you be free? Do you mind if I invite you to have some coffee? Don't worry, my treat." masigla niyang sabi sabay ngiti sa akin kaya kitang-kita ko na naman ang mga cute niyang dimples.
"No! Don't go with him. He's hitting on you, Sepphie!" sigaw ng isip ko.
"Vaughncent will be mad if he'll knew about this. Don't cheat kahit na hindi pa kayo!" dagdag pa ng isip ko.
"Sorry, Mr. Win, but I can't go with you. I have a boyfriend, so please, back off." matapang kong saad at agad ko na siyang tinalikuran.
"Wow, Sepphie! Saan mo natutunan 'yan? At sinong boyfriend ba ang tinutukoy mo?" panunukso ng isip ko. Napangiti na lang ako ng maalala ko si Vaughncent. If he's here, he'll be proud of me for sure.
I was glad when Win didn't follow me. Sigurado ako na nagulat siya sa sinabi ko and I hope he understood the meaning of what I said - to back off. Sana lang talaga at di na siya lalapit pa sa akin.
Nang makabalik ako ng opisina, agad sumalubong sa akin ang huni ng telepono ko. Nang makita ko kung sino ang tumatawag, di ko napigilan ang mapangiti.
"Hello?"
"Hi there!" Vaughncent said on the other line.
"Kamusta?"
"Heto... nami-miss ka." Corny pakinggan pero kinikilig ako! Tumikhim muna ako bago nagsalita.
