Kian's POV
"Alright Kian, Truth or Dare?" Jc asked.
It was a Friday night and all of us were bored as hell. There was nothing else to do, so we decided to play Truth or Dare.
"Dare." I said.
"You want a Dare or Extreme Dare?" JJ asked.
"Extreme Dare." I said.
What's the worst they can make me do? I'm not scared of their dares.
JJ whispered something to Jc, which made him laugh and nod his head super fast.
"What do I have to do?" I sighed.
"Oh nothing big...just adopt a toddler." JJ said.
"You're joking right?" I asked, slightly laughing.
"Nope." he said.
"You asked for an extreme dare." Jc said.
"Okay but that's insane. I have no clue how to raise a kid." I said.
"C'mon, you'll be giving a sweet little kid a family." JJ said.
"And what if I don't?" I asked.
"You gotta leak your nudes." Jc said.
"Can't you guys come up with something that won't ruin my life?" I asked.
"Just adopt a little boy. Don't be such a pussy." JJ said.
I'm only 19. I can't take care of a kid! But if I don't, these punks will find someway to make me pay for it.
"Fine. But I'll need help." I said.
"We got you bro." Jc said.
"But where is there even an orphanage around here?" I asked.
JJ hoped on his Mac Book Pro and started searching.
"There's one Downtown. They even have online profiles for the kids." he said.
I grabbed the laptop and started searching through the profiles. Most of them didn't seem to catch my attention, until I found one boy who seemed like a good fit.
Name: James Christopher Quick
Age: 2
DOB: May 15th
Hair Color: Blonde
Eye Color: Green
Personality: Sweet, Playful, Loving, Bubbly, Energetic
Likes: Finding Nemo or anything Disney, Cookies, the color Blue, and the Park
Dislikes: Being woken up or left alone, Veggies, and taking Baths
Fears: Monsters, the Dark, and Lightning
Allergies: Peanuts
"He seems good." I said.
"Good pick." JJ said.
"I still don't know about this..." I said.
"You already said you would." Jc said.
"Okay okay." I said.
I emailed the orphanage and they said I could pick him up tomorrow.
"You should get the spare room ready. It said he likes Finding Nemo, so make him a Finding Nemo room." JJ said.
"Alright, let's go." I said.
I grabbed my keys and we got in the car. We drove to Babies R Us and got:
-A white crib
-Finding Nemo bed sheets
-A white dresser
-A black and red Mickey Mouse car seat
-A black and blue stroller
-A blue and green high chair
-A ton of clothes and toys
-2 pacifiers
-Sippy Cups
-Bath toys and Soaps
-And a stuffed Nemo
"I think we're good." I said.
We checked out and loaded everything into the car. We drove home and picked up Taco Bell on the way home.
When we got home, we ate and started setting up the room. It was 11pm by the time we finished.
We watched a few movies and then went to bed since we had to get up a little earlier tomorrow.
I took a shower and just thought about things.
Can I really take care of a toddler?
What if I mess up and he gets hurt?
What if it's too much and I can't handle it? I'm only 19. I don't know if I can handle all of it.
Then again, I have the guys. They'll help...I hope...
I dried off and put on a t-shirt and basketball shorts. I put my phone to charge and watched Netflix until I fell asleep.
