I stare at the ceiling, Isiah softly breathing next to me.

The moon light filters into the room, crickets chirping outside, other then that, there was just the sound of the soft breeze.

Tonight is my first night sleeping next to Isiah, without being intoxicated. It's hard to think about that kind of stuff when your drunk and just looking for a place to sleep it off. Tonight I was sober, conscious of everything, and finding it very difficult to sleep.

Isiah? Sleeping like a baby.

My phone lights up on the nightstand and I look over at it, vibrating as I get an incoming call.

I push the blankets off of me, slipping out of bed and walking into the bathroom.

"Hello" I speak softly, shutting the door.

"I need you"

I stop all movement then, standing in the dark bathroom, the ground cold under my feet and the air even colder.

"Mila?" I ask, I recognize the voice, but I had never heard those words come out of the mouths of my siblings. They were too prideful to ask for help.

"Please" a whimper broke through her words and suddenly my promise to never lend a hand to my family is broken.

"Where are you"

I drive up to the house but instead of going to the front, I take the cut off that leads towards the pool house. My headlights shining on my sister who sits outside in the cold.

Tears streak her face and blood soaks her shirt.

I park the car and get out, walking slowly towards her.

"What happened?" I softly speak, the cold making my breath come out in a light mist.

"I didn't know who else to call" she sobbed and looked towards her car parked between the pool house and a few bushes. I glance at her and then turn towards the car, walking over.

Why is she covered in blood? Why was I the one she called?

As I get closer, the motion light turns on and I can see blood dried on the windows. I pop open the passenger door and immediately, I know who did this.

"It was him wasn't it? Dad did this..."

I couldn't look at her, I couldn't be the one to confirm it. The way his neck was sliced open and his crotch was blown in was an all too familiar sight to me.

"I couldn't call Yuri or Leo... I'm so sorry Katiya" I look back and watches as she cries, looking anywhere but at the man she wanted to see, "We always took you for granted, and we always believed him over you. I'm so sorry for treating you so horrible Katiya. I'm sorry"

I try to keep my sigh in, but it was hard knowing my pregnant sister was right behind me, mourning the man she loved, and grieving the lost of her bond with her father.

"I'll take care of this" I tell her, shutting the door of her pretty red convertible and tossing her my keys.

I walk around to the drivers side and start up the car, only looking back to see Mila, watching my as I drive away. I wasn't going very far though. I was going where I had went. Where I buried the man my father exterminated of.

Difference is, I hadn't loved him. I simply respected him, I grieved for him because he loved me, and he died for laying in a bed with me. I was the reason he didn't get to graduate, or see his parents finally marry. He is nothing now other then a memory.
