Friday came quickly but I hadn't seen Marco since the night at my house. I was still so confused what was going on with him, and I didn't think it was a good idea to be crushing so hard on him. He seemed unpredictable. I had no idea why he wasn't at school but I heard from Carlos that he would be at the game.

Even though it was unhealthy, I still decided to go.. mainly to hang out with my friends in the fan section. Tonight's theme was neon, and I wore a pair of neon pink shorts with a tight neon green crop top and matching socks. Beaded necklaces and bracelets added to the fit, along with a neon pink bow in my hair. When it was time for the eye black, i watched as McKenzie put it on Marco. He didn't pull her closer or smile like he did with me, i noticed. He seemed to shoo her away immediately after and his eyes traveled to the stands, searching for someone. His eyes landed on mine and I couldn't read his expression. I gave him a small wave from my place on the top, but he just looked away.

The Stars won this game too, and after each touchdown he would look towards the stands. I liked him so much, but he seemed to be not willing or ready for a relationship, and especially not with me. But he was so confusing. He is so flirty and jealous, yet he wants absolutely nothing romantic with me. It makes zero sense.

"You coming to the after party now?" Grace asked. "Please." She added with a cheesy smile.

"I guess." I shrugged. "Cherry vodka sour sounds good right now." We stepped down to the bottom of the bleachers and followed the mob of students trying to make their way off.

"Hazel!" She slapped a hand over her mouth in laughter. "You're so obsessed. Maybe you should branch out and try something else tonight."

"Like what?" I raised my freshly waxed eyebrow at her.

"I don't know, beer or wine?" She offered.

I wrinkled my nose and pretended to gag as I grabbed the railing. "Absolutely not."

"Ooh! How about a white claw or Truly?" She suggested, pointing at me with her car keys.

I paused for a moment. "Okay yeah, maybe." I smiled and she pumped a fist in the air.

"You'll like it. It's definitely a you drink." She opened her back car door and threw her accessories into the back seat.

I tossed mine in as well and made my way around to the passenger side. My eyes scanned the parking lot to search for Marco, but I saw no sign of him. I doubted he would be at the party since it was at Carlos' this time, and he had been doing anything to avoid me.

Not that I minded, it was easier to forget about him.

Well, not really. But it's the effort that counts.

The drive to Carlos' was way longer than it needed to be because of the many fans and parents who had came to watch tonight's game. By the time we got to the driveway, mostly everyone was already there.

Grace grabbed her backpack from her trunk and i raised my eyebrows at her.

"What?" She crossed her arms. "I'm staying the night."

"Okay honey." I laughed as we walked up the driveway.

We walked in silence, only for a few moments until I blurted my thoughts. "Do you know if Marco is coming?"

She snapped her head to look at me and gave me a knowing smirk. She looked smug and I wanted to slap her for it, but I just narrowed my eyes. Before she could answer, a figure emerged from the side of the house. "Probably." Marco responded for her.

My face turned red as he looked me up and down and I turned around, only to find Grace gone. Fuck you bro.

"Why, miss me?" He smiled and took a step closer.
