Wild nights usually lead to even wilder mornings but I didn't believe that. Little old me: careful, always planning, prudent would have never believed that one night would carry the weight of a thousand days.

"Just drink it. You not driving tonight." I frowned my face at the blue concoction and shook my head.

"Come on it's ok to have one drink." But I knew I was a light weight there was no telling where one drink would take me but my best friend stood there looking at me with peer pressure in her eyes while her boyfriend held the drink out to me. I trusted them, I still do. We had gone out so many times now that we were pretty much all best friends. We always went out together; my best friend, her boy friend and his best friend. Usually I was the DD (designated driver) but tonight my best friend had volunteered with the intention of letting me throw back a few but I wasn't a drinker. The most I had was 3 tequila shots and those had me leaning literally.

"Just drink it." My best friend urged. It's funny that we never all really hung out in the club. Her boyfriend and his friend would go their own way and she and I would stand around and dance together or with a couple of guys that caught our fancy. The thing is her boyfriend was kind of her unofficial boyfriend, they behaved like a couple, jealousy rampaged when either of them caught wind of a guy or girl actually trying hard to get their other but neither of them claimed the relationship. So in my eyes, it was her boyfriend. But anyway, by the end of the night when they started spinning the lover's grooves we usually all met back up and I danced with his best friend and she danced with him.

I took the cup from his hand and smelled it. It didn't have the alcohol smell that I feared. Instead it was sweet smelling, I put the cup to my mouth and sipped it. It still burned as it went down. I frowned my face and tried to hand him back the cup but with a smile plastered on his face with his deep dimples showing he shook his head and refused to take the cup.

"But I don't want it." I whined.

"It's yours now go ahead and drink it." I frowned and gave him an evil look but he just laughed as he always does and I sipped on the drink until it was all gone. My best friend smiled and grabbed my hand pulling me to the dance floor. When I say I'm a light weight, I mean it because already I was feeling the effects of the alcohol settling into my body. My best friend and I rocked and two stepped against the wall but I was kind of floating.

"You ok?" she asked with a laugh. I looked at her through low eyes and nodded.

"I told you I'm a light weight." I pouted and she laughed pulling me close to her. I wrapped my arms around her waist before I felt hands on mine. My best friend smiled and I danced on the mysterious stranger who had appeared behind me. By the time the song ended, I wanted him off so my best friend grabbed me pulling my body into hers and wrapping her arms around me in a loving embrace that usually worked to tell guys that we were together and they needed to back off.

The guy left and I danced on her as if she were my man. The guys around us were looking and licking their lips as my best friend and I did the freakiest dances together. This wasn't anything new. We enjoyed being the teases. They could look but most of them knew that they couldn't have but there were always a few that had to ask, was I her girl or was she mine. If they weren't up to our standards they received a yup we've been dating for two years and I would grab her waist protectively and lay my head on her chest. This would deter about 90 percent of the club population but then there are the stubborn ones that always say while yall looking for a third.
