PRESLEY"Pres, uhh... your dog keeps barking at Wolf and Growl." Finley told me in a hesitant voice.
"Brown." I said in a stern voice, glancing down at the small chocolate Labrador Retriever barking and nipping at the paw of Wolf and Growl.
It was almost comedic. He was tiny compared to the two tall and robust dog yet he followed them around trying to act like he was the bigger one out of them all.
God, he was such a little firecracker.
"Stop that." The little puppy barked in response and sat down immediately. Finley sighed in relief when she caught the pair of Rottweiler relaxed, laid in a hunched position beside Brown.
Finley came over this morning with the pups to catch up and originally I'd planned to spend the day in bed but when I caught a glimpse of the Black Amex inside the pocket of my sweatpants, I whisked her to the mall in search of a dress for the ball tonight.
When I'd gotten Brown yesterday, I was under the impression he was a little sweet thing who was needy for attention and in love with Silvio.
The latter was true but the former was false. He was far from sweet. He had the energy of Wolf and Growl combined; He couldn't stay still and every single time Silvio placed down, he would chase him down and demand his attention with loud barks.
I could tell Silvio felt a bit intimated with a dog like Brown who competed for his attention but I loved the show.
Almost like he could hear my thoughts, my phone dinged of a text notifying me of Silvio.
Zaddy Silvio: Angel.
Presley: Mr. Rossi.
Zaddy Silvio: Will you be back soon?
Presley: Still shopping. Why?
Zaddy Silvio: Miss you.
My heart skipped a hard beat and a trickle of satisfaction washed over me as I read his text over again.
We'd spent yesterday together where he kept me up with his face buried between my legs till this morning and then I woke up with a mind shattering orgasm and kisses all over my body.
The man barely left for the casino this morning despite Beast's adamant calls and texts because he didn't want to leave me.
I didn't understand how he could miss me when I kissed him goodbye a couple of hours ago. I knew with everything that was going on lately, we hadn't gotten a chance to talk about... everything.
I didn't know if anything was going to change now or what this new routine of ours meant.
Before I could respond, the sound of clapping drew me away from my thoughts and I came face to face with Finley's shocked face. Tears filled her brown eyes as she stared at the pearl pink silk dress I was trying on.
