I stand motionless gazing at the blue door dreading to take a step forward. I contemplated leaving but the men with me are not having it. Ares places his hand on the small of my back urging me on, but my legs remain frozen. How can I move when I know I am about to do something despicable? A lie that will shutter people's lives forever. I can't be the bearer of bad news especially when the information is false.

Telling Black's parents that he is dead it's a non-starter. I am not emotionally and physically ready to drop such a bomb on these sweet people. What makes it worse is I know he is much alive; he might not be up, but he is breathing. What if he wakes up and says he wants to see his parents? Who are we to stop him? Heck, I wouldn't want anyone to tell my parents that I am dead whilst I am still alive. I will raise hell if someone plays that cruel joke on me.

This is a bad idea, maybe we should leave. I turn to go but Ares holds my hand with a hard grip, ''Remember a necessary evil. Don't think of it as breaking but as saving. Trust me, our world can get nasty that you will wish you would have done this if you don't do it now.'' He reasons.

I sigh defeated, "I still think this is a bad idea," I say stepping on the doorstep.

"This is for the best," Ares says.

''Do you think it will be too much for them to show up with three strange men at their home without their son? Maybe I should have come alone. This is not going to work...''

Ares envelops my small delicate hands in his big rough yet strangely warm palms. Instantly calm fills me when his electric blue eyes pierce through my soul. That is how I feel anyways with the way he is looking at me, ''You are panicking. It was the right move to come with us otherwise you would have cowardice and left without completing the mission. Deep breathe, you can do this.''

I nod tucking strands of hair behind my ear, ''Okay, I can do this.'' I take in a deep breath before I raise my hand and ring the bell.

''It is moments like these that make life interesting for me,'' Hades says out of nowhere smiling. As always, he is wearing a black suit, slim fit with black shoes that are polished perfectly. He is annoyingly perfect. Even though I feel nothing towards him, it doesn't mean I am blind. He is too good-looking for his good.

"Why are you here?" Eros asks exactly what I was thinking. None of this concern him in any way yet he is always with us.

Hades just smug, " I'm here for moral support. Trust me, you need it. Besides, History is being written and I want to be in the most important parts."

At that moment Black's mother opens the door a smile plastered on her face but instantly falls when she sees the look on my face. My heart breaks all over again thinking of what I am about to do. She doesn't deserve this; she is always kind to me.

"Come in Sheila and your friends I have never seen before. I thought you came with Black." Mrs. Bennet moves out of the way letting us in.

The fresh aroma of cookies bombards my nose as soon as I enter. I love how every time I come there is always something good smelling. Either apple pies, brownies, or cakes. It makes this place homey. The familiar feeling of Black laughing, joking with his parents and just being Black invades me hard. I thought it was going to be easy, but it is getting harder with each minute. We all stand in the leaving room, no one sits on the couch.

"These people stink," Hades says holding his nose in disgust which is kind of confusing and pissing me off. Nothing smells off in here, Black's mother is always a delight to be around and smells fantastic.

"So, where is Black?" his mother asks as soon as she comes into the lounge after closing the front door. Her enthusiastic voice makes my eyes water, but I have to be strong. Necessary evil.
