Fall. The season of balance. It was a time for harvest, vibrant colors, and cool enough weather that one could cozy up to loved ones. Simultaneously, fall was also a time for letting go as leaves slowly peel away from the trees to prepare for the upcoming winter. This fall felt more like the latter rather than the former.

A silence had fallen upon the woods after noises of leaves being crushed and shuffled resounded. Thank goodness, this small cave was available for hiding although you were concerned about any wild bears that might have been residing in it. But your mates assured you that it was empty. After venturing far enough inside the cavern, you decided it was the perfect time to take stock of everything.

Bags? Check. Food in bags? Check. Clothes in bags? Check. Children? Check. Any wounds? None. Okay, your family was safe for now. You slowly sat down as exhaustion seeped into your body.

How long had you all been running?

"Mommy," Haerin, your eldest daughter buried herself in your arms, "I want wolfie daddy."

"Haerin, daddy just went back for...some stuff, but he'll be here soon," you lied, but hope that it would come true. In reality, Namjoon with Yoongi and Jimin were trying to lead the men who invaded your home far away from you guys.

You naively thought it had ended years ago, but the Raidens were back. They weren't happy about Jungkook killing Tomako and Somi and now they wanted revenge. Thankfully, Seung-rok had warned the family weeks before the men actually showed up so you were all prepared.

"But I want daddy now!" Haerin whined which broke your heart. Since she had been born, your family had only been separated once. You were happy she didn't remember, but you and your family had promised it wouldn't happen again. Now, close to five years later that promise had been broken.

"Princess, daddy will be right back, but now you have to be quiet," Jin crouched beside you and cupped Haerin's face, "You don't want to wake your brothers afterall."

At this your head snapped up and your eyes desperately scanned the area. Hobi along with Taehyung huddled close to you and opened the bags to take out some food. Heeseung and his older sister Chaewon sat near their fathers and waited patiently for them to hand out snacks. But where was Jungkook and the twins?

"Don't worry, Jungkook is here," Taehyung reassured you while carefully opening a bag of banana chips, "He's pacing in the back trying to calm the twins down."

"You're psychic," you sighed while your body relaxed against the wall.

"We all worry about the same thing, honeybear,"

"Okay, as long as nothing else happens, I think the twins will stay asleep." Jungkook appeared in your line of sight. The bags under his eyes looked darker these days and it was probably because he stayed up most nights to take care of Soobin and Jungwon. As much as the twins were a blessing, no one could deny that they definitely made things a little more difficult than needed sometimes.

"I told you I could carry one of them," Hobi carefully took Jungwon out of the baby carrier strapped to Jungkook's back.

"No, your hands were full," Jungkook gently rubbed Soobin's back.

"Mommy, when is daddy coming?" Chaewon finally spoke up while coming closer to Haerin and wrapping her tail around Haerin's.

"I'm not sure, but they'll be here soon and we can finally start camping," Jin tried distracting the kids.
