POV-WRITERS:

The plan went into action. Everyone changed and covered themselves in stuff that you couldn't bite through. Archie started the bus up and everyone pilled on, Ila being the last one. Everyone was in position, including the boy that hurt Adrienne. They felt uneasy, but they knew that he was handcuffed down to one of the busses seats.

"Addy, I found these. Thought you might wanna use them while we're out there." Ila says.
"Thank you, love." Adrienne smiles.

They take them away from her hands gently and connect them up to their phone, playing their favourite playlist. They place the headset onto their head while the bus parks infront of a nearby police station. The small group venture out and into the station. Katy takes the keys from behind the desk and unlocks the gun area. As everybody was filling duffel bags, Adrienne sensed something was behind them and the small group. They pull their knife out slowly, turning around, only to meet a broken-legged zombie, dragging itself up to the group. The teenager crouches down, slowly shuffling themselves over to the zombie. They raise the knife over the dead police officers body and bring it down into its head. The sound of the skin ripping and blood gushing out came from it's head. Adrienne takes the knife out of its head and wipes the blood on the body's clothes before putting it back in their boot. The stand up and turn to the group, grabbing a duffel bag from Katy. While making their way back, Adrienne heard a bark from the dog area. They throw the duffel bag that they were holding onto the bus, running back into the police station and into the dog kennels.

POV-CHARACTERS:

Before I could even climb onto the bus, I hear a bark from the station. I throw the duffel bag onto the bus, then I turn and run into the station right over to the kennels. A favourite song of mine came on: 'Run boy run'. I shake off that thought and look around. The smell of a dead dog came as I opened the door. I look down, seeing a German Shepard laying on the floor, it's insides gushing out, many of them bitten into. Another dog whimpers in its cage, scared. I quickly open the door and pick him up. As I move to leave, growling came from behind me. I twist my head, watching a zombie sniff the air, twisting it head around.

"Shit." I mumble.

I take slow steps, trying to make my way back to the bus and my way to safety. The dog lets out a hurtful whine, attracting the zombie and a few friends. They all let out a scream.

"SHIT!" I scream out.

I hold the dog closer to my chest, making sure he won't fall while I run. The song starts getting deeper, and I mentally curse myself for liking it, how it fits into what's happening. I twist my head back around, my legs racing me around corners while I get chased. Throwing myself out the station door and up to the bus, I trip and fall into the bus as the doors close behind me and the dog. I squeeze my eyes shut. The dog lays into my chest, panting. My breath starts to slow down as Ila scans over both of us. The dog slowly moves out of my arms and to the side of me, the bus taking off.

"Thank fuck your alright." She gasps.
"I'm still standing love, I always will." I giggle, still gaining my breath.

The dog nudges my arm, as if he is asking me if I'm alright. I reopen my eyes, raising my arm to pet him.

"I'mma name you Rex." I say, still gaining my breath.

He barks, indicating that he liked it. I smile. Going to stand up, I feel a slight pain in my leg or hip or waist, causing me to fall back down. Ila gasps, catching me before I hit the floor. I wrap my arms around her neck, her arms around my waist. She drags me into her lap. Ilas face turns concerned, she stands up and walk over to a seat, bringing me with her. She places me down and looks around for a first aid kit.

"The waist area of your top's drenched and got a hole in, I'm gonna need to cut this off." She explains.

I nod, in pain, and she takes out a knife, slicing my shirt. Her eyes widen as she takes my shirt off. I glance down slightly, my eyes widening. A deep graze sat upon my waist.

"Your cuts deep." She gasps. "ARCHIE!!"
"Yeah?!?!" The boy calls back.
"We gonna have to make an extra stop at a local hospital or doctors!!" Ila squeals.
"Yup!!" Archie says.

The bus makes a sudden turn and arrives at the first few houses.

"I'll bandage this up and take you upstairs." Ila whispers.
"What happens when we arrive at my house?" I whimper.
"I'll get everything I know you want. I'll see if anyone's been left behind, too." She whispers.
"Thank you, love."I whisper.

.  .  .TIME SKIP.  .  .

I sit in pain, watching as Ila runs out of my house with a double duffle bag and my family dog. I gasp, in shock, standing up and stumbling down the bus stairs. I wince in pain as I collapse on the closest seat at the bottom of the stairs. Ila places my dog onto the floor and rushes towards me, Lassie following. Ila checks me over and over again.

"I'm fine, I promise." I whimper.
"If you say so, I also found this note on the whiteboard." Ila says.

She hands me a peace of paper, and places the duffle bag on the set Infront of me. I take the note and read it. It reads:

Dear Addy,
We all hope you get this. We all hope your alive. If you get this, we are on our way to London where the people down there are gonna send us someplace safe. Your friends' parents are all heading down there. We all love you lots and hope you are alive, please find us.

Tears spill down my cheeks, they're alive! I smile, knowing they're safe. I look up, the small group leaving the bus for more supplies. Ila looks at me and I nod. She leaves, and both dogs run up, both of their heads on my lap. I sigh, patting their heads. Half an hour later, they all return, placing everything down and running back off. When they disappear out of view, I try standing up. I limp over to Archie, now holding my bat.

"You should be sat down." He says.
"I know, but what if zombies creatures come up?" I say.
"Fine, but Ila is gonna be mad." Archie replies.
"I don't care right now." I say, sighing.

Two hours past, but they never came back. Panic sets within me slightly. Are they dead? Bitten? Cornered? I swallow hard, turning away. A sudden growling scream came from the street and I quickly turn around, gripping my bat tightly. Archie quickly stabs the creature, as I didn't notice it get into the bus. I hit its face, nails digging in the skin and the barbed wire burying deep. Its body falls out of the bus and I throw a small knife into its head, killing it.

Shouts for help come from the distance, three figures running and shouting over, bags all over them. As their faces came into view I realize it's Katy, Ila and Josh?! They quickly climb into the bus and the doors shut. Ila throws the bags she was holding onto the close seat and suddenly grabs me.

"Where's Tyler!?" I asked concerned.
"Ila said he turned." Katy blurts out.
"He did, then Josh appeared and helped." Ila quickly blurted out.
"Oh!" I gasp.
"Hey Addison." Josh laughs.
"Har har josh." I say, slightly whimpering.
"Let's get home. I grabbed a sewing kit and it'll help with that wound." Ila says.

I nod, allowing her to pick me up and take me over to the back of the bus.
