You woke up with a gasp "Woah, easy" a voice said and you saw Five looking at you "You okay?" he asked when he noticed that you were sweating.
You breathe out in relief when you saw Five alive and well in front of you, meaning that you killing him was just a nightmare.
"Yeah, just a nightmare" you said "What was it about?" Five asked "Just about me losing a person that I might really care about. Losing a person that I think is important to me" you said "Well, it was just a nightmare, so breathe. I'm here. You're safe" he said as the two of you looked at each other as you both let out a small smile.
"So" Luther said, cleaning his throat and Five turned to look at him "When's it supposed to happen? This...apocalypse?" Luther asked "I can't give you the exact hour, but...from what I could gather, we have four days left" Five said "Why didn't you say something sooner?" Luther asked "It wouldn't have mattered" Five said "Of course it would. We could've banded together and helped you try to stop this thing" Luther said "For the record, you already tried" Five said "What do you mean?" Luther asked and Five looked down for a moment before taking a deep breath "I found all of you" he said quietly "Except for Y/n" he said before he looked back up at him "Your bodies" he said and you looked at him.
He shouldn't have to go through that. That's horrible for anyone. He was way too young to experience any of that.
But if Five never saw your body, then you were never there, and you never died when it happened. If you were sent here to stop Five from messing up the timeline, wouldn't that mean that you were messing up the timeline too if you were here.
Just being here interfered with the timeline. No matter what. Even if you choose to get Five back to The Commission, to your aunt, you will be faltering the timeline. The thought had suddenly crossed your mind. You were just beginning to figure it out.
You now realized it even so you knew it already. Your aunt sent you here to die. She was never going to get you back before the apocalypse hit. This was a suicide mission, no matter what, if you still decided to get Five back, you knew that she was not gonna stop. But maybe it was good that you die here. Rather that than go back to be your aunt's little puppet.
"What the hell are you thinking that, snap out of it, you are not The Handler's puppet. She love you"
"We die?" Luther asked "Horribly" Five answered as he thought back to that moment, he found their bodies under the rubbles.
You could see that he was trying not to cry.
"You were together, trying to stop whoever it was that ends the world" Five said with the sound of sadness in his voice.
