Gulping, I make my way to the ledge, Ila, Dante and Lorna following. Slight fear sets within me, but I push it down. Reaching the ledge, Archie turns and gives me a pair of binoculars. I bring them up to my face. My eyes widen. Standing there, on the other warehouse I bought, is a group of people. A group we all dislike. Ed, Natasha, Tamzin, Libby and my ex boyfriend, Dylan. I watch as he lowers his binoculars, suprise written all over his face. I throw the binoculars behind me in pure anger, everyone flinching. I cast my middle finger up at them. Ila moves me back slightly, everyone turns, worried that I'm gonna have an outburst, which I do.
"No! NO, NO, NO!!" I scream.
"Shh!" Ila says.
"What the fuck are they doing at MY warehouse!?!" I scream again.
"Addy, love, please calm down, those creatures will hear you." Ila says.
"We don't know why they're there but they sure look glad to see us." Mia says.
My fists balk up, and I grit my teeth. Screaming out in anger, I curse and curse, hoping they'd disappear. Ila grabs my shoulders and places a hand over my mouth. From below the creatures growl and scream, banging on the warehouse doors. I walk back, out from Ila's grasp, and I turn, running down the stairs to the lounge area of the warehouse. I then run up to my room, panicking. I fumble, taking a gray box out from under my bed. I rip the lid off, grabbing one of them. I run out of my room, down stairs and up the rooftop. I run right up to the ledge, screaming and waving. The creatures look up and around. I walk along the left side, screaming and waving. They follow, more joining them. I reach the ledge along the left side and pull the clip on the object, I throw it far, everyone screaming as I do. It lands out of sight and a large explosion erupts from the area it landed at. I smirk, falling to the floor.
"You're welcome!" I squeal, smiling.
"WHEN THE FUCK DID YOU HAVE GRENADES!?" Lorna shouts.
"Shh! You'll bring them back!" I whisper. "I stole them from a nearby military tank before this all began."
"I sadly let her get away with it." Ila mumbles, guilty.
"WHAT?!" Everyone yells.
"SHH! Don't worry, I've only used one." I whine, standing up.
We all walk back in, me skipping slightly. We all get into the lounge area. I glance at the bus, the yellow slightly blinding me.
"We should paint the bus." I blurt out.
"We should, the colour might attract those things." Ila says.
"Me, Ila and Archie will look in the basement for paint. Can a few of you look in storage areas up here?" I ask.
"Sure." They all reply.
Me, Ila and Archie take three flashlights and head towards the basement stairs. We defend the stairs, coming to the main room. I take the left room, Ila takes the main room and Archie takes the right. My flashlight flickers on, I start at the front and walk up and dow the isles, searching the shelves. Looking on one shelf, there's a box lay there, big enough to fit a book in, a purple gem craving into the lid. I stop, setting the flashlight down beside it. I open it, dust flying out from under the lid. When it clears, a plain black book appears, as well as a purple crystal necklace.
'I don't remember putting this here?' I think to myself.
I take the necklace out, putting it into my pocket. I take the book out, and grab the flashlight. I continue to walk through the isles, coming to the last one. An entire shelf full of bats, bows, cross bows, guns, knives, arrows, and a box of nail and barbed wire sat beside them. This would do good for weapons when we venture out. There's no paint in this room. I go to leave, but something shuffles behind me. Before I could turn and look, someone grabs my arms and shoves me onto the floor. I croak out in pain, my back aching. My flashlight roles behind me, shining the light onto me and a tall figure. He had blonde hair, green eyes and a snake tattoo running down his neck. He suddenly crouches down, placing a hand on my mouth, preventing me from screaming. I struggle to move as he lowers his face towards mine. Staring at me weirdly, he places a finger at his lips. He then slowly moves his hand from my face and to his side, he moves his finger from his face and sighs with relief. I grab his head and full force head butt him. He moves from me and I grab the book and flashlight. He stands up and I throw I kick in his stomach. He crouches down, huffing in pain. I manage to scream for help, Archie and Ila running in after. My breath picks up slightly, and I feel lightheaded. Archie hits the boy on the back of the head, causing him to get knocked out. I feel myself get picked up. I watch as Archie pulls the boys body up the stairs and the last thing I see are worried faces.
. . .TIME SKIP. . .
I groan, tossing over again and again. My eyes flutter open slightly, only to meet the couch cushions then the coffee table. Peoples' laughter and talking fill my ears. I blink, repeatedly, getting the sleep out of my eyes. I slowly gain the energy to sit up and meet a few gasps. Footsteps of many people follow behind me. I slowly turn the top half of my body around, my friends all standing there, shocked and confused.
"You're meant to be out for two hours, it's only been one. The bus is almost finished being painted, that guy is locked up. How are you feeling, mum?" Archie says.
"I feel like someone's just fucked my head." I groan.
"That's not really funny." Lorna says, concerned.
"Wasn't really meant to be." I groan. "Where's Ila?"
"Come on, I'll show you, Addy!" Dante says.
The blonde-blue haired boy helps me off up the couch, taking me over to the jail room, he opens the door. I pull the blanket over my shoulders. Sitting in the chair at the desk is Ila. Sitting in the cell was the guy I head butted. Ila holds a resting angry face, watching the guy closely.
"Ila, she's awake!" Dante says.
Ila doesn't move. She remains still, watching the guy closely like a hawk or as if he was going to turn any moment.
"Let me talk to her, Dante." I whisper.
Dante nods and leaves. I walk up to Ila's side, her anger growing more. I stand beside her chair, watching the guy too. He lay on the bed, facing the wall, not moving.
"He's not gonna go anywhere." I blurt out.
"I know." Ila says.
"He's only going to stay in that one place." I blurt out again.
"Look at me." I say, annoyed.
"Your heads bruised, you need rest." Ila says.
Slightly annoyed, I grab the arms of her chair and spin her to face me. The blanket falling off my shoulders. She glares at me, annoyed that I'm not going to get rest.
"I don't need to rest, I'm standing perfectly well." I says, groaning.
"Any second now, you're gonna feel light headed and fall into my arms. You can keep denying it all you want, but you know it's true." Ila explains.
And she was right. My head began to feel light and I felt dizzy. My legs give way and Ila's arms wrap around my body, holding me close to her chest. She grabs the blanket and stand up walking out of the room.
"I did tell you!" Ila says.
